The first things i have to say is to request Connie as your server. You will thank me as the experience will be that much more special. We went with a party of 4 to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Excellent salads and the veal porterhouse was exceptional. The filets were done perfectly and the sides are quite sizable as well. Noise level was high due to a scientific convention there with some badly underdressed folks being loud but it did not take away from our dinner.

Hostess at stand was rude as soon as we arrived . We were there 20 minutes before our reservation, she told us we could be seated at reservation time . We were waiting a young lady came and sat us , only to find out we were not the party they intended to sit . They made a big deal out of it ! That’s when we should have walked out ! Food was not up to par of a “steak house “ waitress was all over the place and service poor . Restaurant was 2/3 empty ! No excuse ! Would never go there again , sorry to say .

Food was good as always, but our service was not on point. This is our spot for our Anniversary each year. It nice to have it recognized by the staff which usually happens at hostess stand and is usually at the top of the menu, little things that have been appreciated year after year. Not even a reference to it. Don’t be mistaken, the steak was delicious.

Our reservation was for 5:30 pm. They were seating from back to front. We were the first table on the open floor plan to be chaired. We were seated beside the kitchen entrance. My husband asked to move to another table in the empty room at this point. The answer was “no” from the woman in the maroon blouse. When it came time to order, “sea bass, smashed potatoes and asparagus” was a special for the night. I didn’t ask to substitute the fish with a filet. I asked to sub a regular menu item, smashed potatoes with another regular menu item, creamed spinach. With out pause, our waitress exclaimed, “No, the chef will not approve.” Last, I noticed. I was the paying customer. Double “no’s” do not lead for a pleasant experience. It was not, “let me check,” it was emphatic, “NO!” I could understandabl if the dining room had been full. I could have understood if the vegetable selection of the chef was uncommon. Very disappointing. Bob’s is chain for goodness sakes who’ website state,” Excellence At Every Restaurant. Expect world-class consistency at each Bob’s Steak & Chop House location. Every one of our 15 steakhouses across the country holds itself to the highest standards of craftsmanship and service, providing an extraordinary dining experience from the moment you step through the door. The Nashville location FAILED. Next time, a better choice will be, Halls, Bourbon Steak, Eddie V’s, or Jeff Ruby’s. I have never had a bad meal nor service at any of these Nashville favorites.
