Rough night for Bob's. It started in the bar when I ordered an Old Fashioned. She made it with a mound of small ice cubes. I asked if I could get it with one large cube. It came back and tasted like it was just bourbon. Wife had her cocktail and it was fine. Another couple (my daughter and her boyfriend) joined us and he ordered an Old Fashioned too. She made his and the first thing he says is "this doesn't taste like an Old Fashioned. It tastes like she just poured bourbon and put a cherry in it". Our waitress may have been new but she was not good. Granted it is pretty loud in there but I couldn't hear her. I told her that. She repeated but still no projection. After she left I asked the other side of the table what she said and they said they couldn't hear her either. This went on and on as she returned to the side of the table across from me, not next to me, except when it was time to place an order. My daughter had to relay messages all night. So after $750 for the night, I was full but unfortunately, I was full of frustration.

Asked to sit away from the bar area as that is very loud. They were great about the change and very accommodating. This is our “go to” location of Bob’s. Great place for any occasion.

You cannot beat the original Bob's . The Wagyu porterhouse was outstanding. One of the few places we go to and feel like we got quality product and service for monies spent.

This was our second time at Bob’s and it was just as good as the first time. Really great steak, giant piece of carrot cake that was delicious, service was really good as well.

Came here for my husbands birthday to enjoy a good ol’ steak. We’ve heard Bob’s is the standard for fine dining without being pretentious in Dallas. They did not disappoint! My only complaint was that they sat in the back room next to a large party of 12. They were so loud and obnoxious once they got drinking so it ruined any romantic atmosphere for my husband’s birthday. However, the service was amazing. I forget our servers named but he did a wonderful job of explaining the menu and making sure I would be ok with my dairy allergy. We were not rushed in any way, the food came out hot. They brought out the gigantic brownie sundae, on the house, with a sparkler included. Overall a great experience and we’ll be back. I just wish they would have made that party rent out the room instead of sticking a few couple diners in there with them.

I had 2 drinks long island ice tea and a spicy martini and I’m convinced that there was absolutely no liquor in either one. I’m a lightweight and I felt 0 different! It was the strangest thing ever!

I arrived at 6:30 for my 7pm reservation. Sat at the bar until 7, then got my table. One of my guests showed up at 7:15, and another around 7:30. We had to track somebody down to get us drinks, to order our meal, and to check on food. We finally got our meal at 9pm. All we were offered was a “sorry about that.” Old fashioned was one of the worst ones I’ve had. Steak and potatoes were good once we received them. Maybe this Bob’s is too busy for their own good or maybe just had an off night, but was pretty disappointed with the experience.

You should go....but not on Thursday night. That's my night and its already too crowded. All the other nights have the coldest martini's, the best steaks and the most professional service. And gentlemen, remove your hats...it's a wonderful restaurant that deserves the respect you'd give your Mother in her kitchen. :)

Outstanding meal and service. Love that you can pick out any dessert from the menu for your birthday and it’s on the house! Nice touch. Will definitely be going back! :)

Excellent steaks cooked to perfection as ordered. Sides plentiful and tasty. A little noisy, but ok for large busy restaurant. Superb friendly service from start to finish. Even valet experience was great. Certainly in the expensive side for an informal restaurant, but I left feeling the food and experience were valued ok.

We made our server aware that it was our first time visiting and he did not make us feel welcomed. We ordered a ranch water and were given a margarita instead. Once we received our food, our server only returned once. We were highly disappointed and will not be returning.

Three of us ordered three different steaks. A New York strip, a ribeye and a Wagyu cross steak off the expensive small special steak menu All were excellent… Split a chopped blue cheese salad three ways as a starter Everybody left satisfied and happy . Will be back

Old school steakhouse with great martinis and prime steaks. We shared the jumbo shrimp cocktail and the bacon which were delicious. Then split a 32 oz porterhouse and a filet which were cooked perfectly. Wine list is excellent. Wish we had room for dessert but we will have to come back for the chocolate cake. Very expensive but worth it for a special occasion.

Dined in other Bob’s Steakhouse located in other cities and this was the first time to dine in the original Bob’s. The experience was I what I expected from the great service provided by all team members. Greeted by the hostess desk and felt welcome immediately. While waiting for other members of our group, we were treated and served by the bartender, David. He asked us if we have dined at Bob’s before and told him we have and this was our first time at the original location. David welcomed us and told us if there’s anything we need to let him know. Our server, Karen, made our dining experience a memorable one. She informed us how long she has been at Bob’s, which is testimonial to her loyalty to Bob’s and how she enjoys being at Bob’s and serving customers. Food was excellent and tasted delicious as usual. The ambiance with the traditional steakhouse was a big bonus. Will make the original Bob’s a regular place to dine in Dallas.

Our table was ready in sync with our reservation. Kelly provided attentive but not ever overbearing service. Steaks cooked perfectly. great shrimp cocktail, and wonderful wines by the glass. not too busy, so noise was very tolerable. All good with this visit!
