With one of the most picturesque dining settings in Coronado, the Boathouse is situated on the water, where you can enjoy the romantic views of Glorietta Bay. The iconic cupola-adorned landmark was built in 1887 as a design prototype for the Hotel del Coronado located across the street.

Bluewater Boathouse may be reached by water taxi, the Coronado Bay bridge or via the Silver Strand. The upstairs lounge host Happy Hour, Sunday through Thursday from 3:00pm till 6:00pm and dinner service Friday and Saturday at 4:00pm. Banquet rooms are available for day or evening rehearsal dinners, wedding receptions, corporate events and military functions. Surrounded by historical character, stunning views of the Bay and a pristine fresh menu, Bluewater Boathouse is a must see culinary destination.

While I normal do not mark down a restaurant's overall rating this time I have to. This is due to a few things. One of our cocktails did not have all of the garnishes described. While the Halibut fish was excellent the other fish was dy and could have used a butter sauce on the side. While our waitress was very good, another server kept the door cracked open, next to out indoor seating, while chatting with a customer seated outside. This server was so unaware of what aws she was doing and the discomfort she was causing to at least two of the table nearby thast my husband had to get out of his seat and ask the server to step outside to continue her conversation with the customer seated in the outdoor seating.
