What an amazing spot! Paid Public parking right next to it, couple of minutes of walk to the pier, and the food is SOOOO good! Make sure to get guacamole for the table! Their tacos are delicious and service was very fast which was great because we were hungry!

We went there just for ceviche. When we ordered it, the amount was 1 piece of shrimp,1 calamari ring imbedded with onions and peppers. The portion was extremely small yet the price was very high. I asked for more ceviche and I would pay extra. They refused to give me more, but I could order another whole order. My husband’s pork taco was marginal. We were celebrating an anniversary and nothing was given as desert to celebrate our anniversary. I was very disappointed and paid 80.00 for a not very good dinner. Will not return.

The waiter was not the best he took care of us, but he soon as he took the order then we hardly saw him anytime we asked for service it seemed like it was a big deal for him, and other than that the food was OK. It wasn’t the best.

In town for the golf tournament. We enjoyed the atmosphere on the Patio w/ sunset ocean view. Service was great. Food was excellent however a bit pricey. Margaritas were ok but nothing to brag about and overpriced even for happy hour. Definitely will drop in again when in town for the delicious food and setting. Thx T

I’m a local and used to dine at Blue Plate regularly prior to Covid; iI had a horrible experience during Covid and have went back since but figured maybe thing a have changed, I do enjoy the food but have been mistreated on several occasions, I’m beginning to think it’s personal. I ordered 3 tacos and ended up having 3 margaritas , the manager came to me at 2.5 hours make and pretty much asked me to leave as their limit is 90 mins. I grew up in NY and lived in LA 8 years and this is the first time I’ve been tried this way .i was dining alone and could tell I was judged since they sat me I would like to state that when I was asked to leave , I counted 4 empty seatings of 2a and 4s. I will not be dining there ever again. I deserve better treatment.

Terrible server, fish (fried red snapper) tacos smelled and tasted like they had been sitting under the sun. Waiter never came up and checked on us. When we complained about the food at the end he said that had we told him, we would have been able to get it replaced but not removed from bill…. He never even came around to our table. The bus boys were refilling our waters and chips… he never came again.

When our group of 4 went on Nov 28th, it was not a pleasant experience or worth the cost. The inside of their restaurant was closed due to a kitchen renovation, but there was nothing mentioned on their site or on the booking platform when reserving a table. Everyone was seated outside, food and drinks were served from a food truck, you were charged $5 for water because that’s all they had (still or sparkling). We spent $55 per person with 20% tip for a mediocre meal and experience. Our margaritas were served in a plastic solo cup, chips were served in a small food truck plate so we had to keep asking for more chips. And they had a limited menu of 5 options. If we were aware of the above situation due to renovation, we never would’ve drove an hour to meet with some friends for a nice dinner who we haven’t seen for the experience we had. Oh, and the cesar salad that was ordered by my vegan girlfriend, never came out so she just ate rice and beans because that’s the only vegan options that were available on that limited menu. She would’ve mentioned it to the server, but she was not around and we were all pretty much finished our meals. A waste of money. Will not return.

We arrived to find out that the kitchen is being remodeled this week and that they were serving from a very limited menu out of a food truck parked next to hastily arranged outdoor seating (at the edge of the street!). The day manager heard my questions and immediately came over to assist. She apologized profusely for the fact that their webpage had not been updated to let customers know about the remodeling project. I was on the website on Monday 11/27 when I made the reservation - NO MENTION of any change to their offerings. Because the manager was so gracious and we didn't want to walk anymore, we took a table and were served by a very friendly and helpful waiter. The food was delicious and we enjoyed conversation with our friends. The project is scheduled for completion by Sat, Dec 2nd, so we just happened to get caught in the middle. Based on very limited experience with their food, we would try them again.

I thought this restaurant was mediocre at best. Food came out in 2 seconds, so I got the feeling everything was just already cooked ages ago and sitting around and just spooned on the plate. Food was kind of tasteless. Our server was very good. Noise level was awful. Bottom line is I won’t be going back. I frequently go to Blue Plate Oysterette and absolutely love that place. No comparison whatsoever to the taco joint!!
