Blu Kouzina is bringing its signature, wholesome Greek cooking to the Sunshine State after gracing for the past five years Singapore’s culinary scene. The acclaimed restaurant, born out of the founders’ passion for the food of their native Greece and their love of sharing a hearty, family meal with friends, has set up a second home in Sarasota.

Fresh and quality ingredients, mostly grown organically, and sourced from well established, local producers are used in dishes that are both traditional and creatively contemporary. What remains uniquely Greek and genuine are the flavors and the scents of extra virgin olive oil, fresh fish or succulent lamb that will take you on a journey from a beach-side taverna to a rural mezze shop.

Excellent food, great service, elegant and clean place. The only restaurant in Sarasota having grilled sardines on the menu year round. Just beautiful and happy place.

They have the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. My favorite restaurant in the circle. The ambiance is delightful and service is great.

Had a wonderful meal - all 3 of us did. We asked for a table with a view and they sat us at the chef's table. The only thing is that you really can't see anything being cooked from there because there are so many things sitting on the area between the table and the kitchen. But we did see the food coming out. Our branzino dinners (all 3 of us ordered it) were fabulous. Wait staff was knowledgeable of the wines and suggested wines that we all liked. First time there - definitely will be back!!

We got off on the wrong foot with a wait of 40 mins past reservation. They had some lengthy diners go long. And their seating was not well laid out. But, they got us a nice table for two away from hostess stand and, once seated, it all came together! Fantastic menu, great specials. In fact, the food was amazing and glad we ordered what we did. Dolmades, Eggplant spread, Branzino special and Lamb Ribs. Ours was great and the diners meals around us looked great too. We’ll be back.

The only positive thing I can say is that our server was good. We had reservations for four people to be seated inside, that didn’t seem to matter to them, so we were seated outside when it was 90° and humid. We should’ve left, but we didn’t and we ordered what ended up being the worst Greek food I’ve ever had, my husband agreed. I was embarrassed that we suggested this restaurant for our family. On to the food. Don’t order white sangria, it’s dry white wine with 3 - 1/2” pieces of orange in it and it was horrible. The hummus was dry and thick with chunks served with one pita for four people. The stuffed grape leaves were oily. The Saganaki was the smallest thinnest piece of cheese that I’ve ever been served, no presentation and barely enough for four people to have one bite. The Greek salad was a giant bowl of tomatoes and vegetables floating in a sea of vinegar, there was absolutely no effort made in presentation, I’ve had a better Greek salad at Publix. I can’t comment on the taste of the spanakopita, as I wasn’t the one who ate it, but it’s too little miniature pastries, not a nice slice of spanakopita from a full tray of it, they looked like some thing you would buy in the freezer section at Publix and put in the oven. Now for the meat, the grilled chicken was cooked okay, but it had zero seasoning on it. The keftedes tasted like dry day old meatballs. The beef skewers were well done and chewy, with no seasoning. The lamb chops were tough and chewy with no flavor or seasoning. I’m embarrassed to say that we paid $320 for this meal. Don’t believe the hype, this is NOT good Greek food.

Wonderful experience dining. We enjoyed the covered outdoor area. Noise level wasn’t too bad for a Saturday evening but quickly die down after 9 PM. Waiter was helpful with the wine selection. Food was excellent as usual! So excited they are coming to UTC!

We have been very happy with the food quality and quantity. It's disappointing when you have to wait 30 minutes to receive your check!

Our waiter was abrupt and unhelpful. Blu salad was excellent. Beef wrap was very underwhelming - one split cherry tomato, way too many onions and four cubes of beef. Zucchini patties were undercooked - even after we sent them back to be cooked more.
