3 of us. Ordered a shared appetizer and three entrees. Received 3 entrees, told kitchen forgot. Asked for the check after dessert. Received wrong check. Got right check and glad appetizer was not on check. Had to ask for a water refill. Server never checked with us as to how our meal was going. Fifth time this year we ate at Blu. First BAD experience. Maybe short staffed but not up to past performance.

The espresso martinis were great. The food was tasty and very reasonably priced for a Boston restaurant. Our server Vall was terrific. We'll definitely be back.

We love dining at Blu, especially before seeing a play, musical, or concert in the theater district. The ambience is so lovely and the service is always top-notch. The scallops are my favorite entrée.

Great location for dinner when catching a show. Beautiful, elegant and comfortable. Tuna tartare was amazing. I had the short rib and mushroom rigatoni, it wasn't what I expected, beef was shredded in the pasta with mushrooms, but it was delicious. My sister has the scallops with lobster risotto which was stellar! Pricey but worth it.

The food was terrible. The fried calamari was barely cooked. The swordfish had no flavor. And the lobster mask potatoes were no big deal. For $200 and no alcohol not worth it.

The location and ambience are amazing. The service was impeccable. The food was lacking and was NOT worth the money. We started out with cocktails and wine, which were ho-hum at best. We ordered the Arancini, which came in a sauce that resembled tomato paste. It had no body and was disappointing. For the main courses, I ordered salmon, which was tasty, but still rather bland. My friend ordered swordfish which looked dry and really had little taste. The accompaniments were good. We finished with delicious coffee and the most scrumptious desserts (white chocolate bread pudding). It was indeed the hit of the meal! We were there for a birthday and they brought over two glasses of Moscato to celebrate. All in all, it wasn't horrible, but the food was not the best I've ever had. There are other alternatives for food in the theatre district and I hope Blu pulls it together a little better in the future.

Blu's beautiful, airy dining room overlooking the theater district never feels crowded or noisy. The service is excellent without being obtrusive, and the food is excellent.

Blu has been a favorite for our theater nights. easy access to Lafayette Garage and either the Opera House or Emerson Colonial Theater. family 4-some for the night sampling delicious appetizers, cocktails and entrees. our host for the evening Yago and dining staff made it easy to order, ask questions and personalize dinner options. 100% worth it.

I don't get the big fuss about this place. Food was mixed. The bread was superb, and the dessert was very good (not great), but the appetizer and main course were solidly meh. Swordfish had virtually no swordfish flavor, and virtually no flavor except for the sauce. Without the sauce, I wouldn't have eaten it. Also, an odd ambience. It's located on a fourth floor, and when you get off the elevator, you walk into the welcome desk for a gym, which certainly deflates any sense of elegance. The restaurant space feels spacious, but despite the high ceiling, it is somewhat noisy. We had a really great and super-attentive waiter, but overall, no reason to return.

The food was just ok. For the price I would expect better. The salmon skin wasn't crisped nor was the duck skin. The veggies on the salmon dish could have been frozen and the rice wasn't cook. The service was very good and the space is very nice for dining. Just wish the food was better.

It was a very average experience. Food was ok. Not bad, not good. Arranchini had good flavor but could have been crispier Braised short rib lacked flavor but was braised well. Swiss chard was tough. Scallops were not seared properly but accompanying lobster risotto was good. Service was very slow even though restaurant was less than half full. Waiter was pleasant but everything was slow. Overall, not memorable either in a good or bad way.

Excellent food, nice view, generous drinks. Our cocktails arrived after our first course, which was unfortunate, and the table next to us was taking a lot of selfies, but on the whole we've enjoyed every visit here, for date nights, business lunches, family events, and special occasions.

We ordered two appetizers, a salad, and an entry to split between two of us. The chef graciously divided each into equal servings and our server brought them at just the right pace. Combine that with a good bottle of house wine and some after dinner limoncella and you have a lovely evening.

Everything was perfect. It was our anniversary and I put that in the comments thinking that they will never even read it. But they ceratinly did!!! They gave us great seats in the restaurant. We don't eat a lot of food, so we usually order a couple items from the appetizer menu and an entree and share them. We did this at Blu as well and they split all of them and put on seperate plates for us. The waiter, Israel, was always attentive and just an all around wonderful person. I can't say enough about him and the restaurant. They even put our dessert on a "Happy Anniversary" plate. It was just beautiful.

Great spot overlooking the theater district of Washington Street. Large portions we noticed at the next table so we split a salad and an entree which were delicious and sufficient for two, and left room for a yummy lava cake desert. Only weird thing is that it's next to a health club so we shared the elevator with people in gym clothes!

Used to eat there almost weekly before Covid pandemic but hadn't gone back since as our business location moved. Was greeted like a long lost friend that made me and my guests feel very good about coming back there. Prices are different of course but in line with those for similar high quality restaurants.

Great restaurant with superb service, excellent food and good views. On the fourth floor so nothing to see from the outside and you enter through a gym. Don’t be put off! It’s a hidden gem.

Wasn’t a terrible meal but I won’t be back. There are so many better spots in Boston for the price and the fact this is in a gym lobby really throws off the vibe

Great dining experience overall. Wonderful ambiance and service! The food was tasty but nothing that wowed for the price. The dessert we shared underwhelmed. Drinks were well made. We did have a lovely time and I’d return.
