Cadillac margarita was really tasty, I added muddled jalapeño. Salsa flight and nachos were so full of flavor! Best nachos I’ve probably ever had. We added chicken and al pastor pork.

Service was excellent. Drinks and food were fair. I ordered the Carnitas tacos and they were so greasy you could ring them out. We also ordered the nachos, the cheese used was a creamy cheese of some kind old cheeses which had a sour taste. The chicken on the nachos was not shredded or cut, it was so big, I pulled it off and cut it with a knife. New chef? Usually food is very good.

It’s good, not great Mexican food. Above average guacamole and house made chips. Clean restaurant and good service. A bit noisy for a Sunday night. BUT it’s in the Gaslamp district which is to be expected. Our waitress was very attentive and kept chips and drinks filled the entire night.

I had dinner here with a few coworkers during an event in San Diego and definitely recommend trying The Blind Burro if you have the opportunity. Note only is the name cool, but they have the best street corn I have ever tasted in my life! The food was delicious, the drinks were great, and our server was very nice and attentive. Two thumbs up!

We had a large group of 12 for a client luncheon. The staff were excellent and made every effort to ensure everyone was comfortable, and service was timely. Food is excellent. Extra thank you to our server, Shannon. She was great.

The food, drinks, staff, ambiance, EVERYTHING was amazing! Ian C. is a top notch server and should be recognized. We stayed at Margaritaville but didn’t like the food nor the drinks. Blind Burro saved us and we couldn’t have been more pleased. The next time we visit San Diego, we will stop in. Thank you Blind Burro - you made our getaway a success!

We dined during a Padres game so it got a bit loud, but our table was quiet enough to talk. The food is amazing and the accommodated requests for changes. Our waiter was super. The street corn and pozole were to die for!

The overall atmosphere was nice. The street tacos were excellent along with the kale slaw. We also tried the wings and they were a bit undercooked - they needed to stay in a little longer. The cocktails were on point.

Noise level is very high inside, so eat outside if you prefer to hear what your companions are saying. Service was prompt and friendly. Portions are huge!!!! I could only eat half of mine even though it was delicious and I arrived starving. My companions fared about the same....loved the food but couldn't it it all. Of the plates we saw being served, all looked tempting. Thank you!

This is a really great stop for good value food and only a block from Petco Park. Service was awesome. I really liked my torta but could use a little more meat. I think two sides would be appropriate also and it looked like all the entrees only came with one side. House made chips and salsa were really good. My wife is vegetarian and loved their veggie tacos. We will definitely be back.

Food was outstanding, especially the street corn. Drinks were weak and mostly ice and we ended up being charged for an extra drink. Would definitely return because food was delicious. Skip the margaritas and check your bill. Great energy.

Solid food with excellent service! By no means a fancy spot and kind of overpriced for tacos, but that’s just a location issue. I had the grilled shrimp tacos along with the calamari and Mexican street corn. Every bite was delicious. Our server Kristen was super friendly, especially dealing with my colleague who isn’t the easiest guy to wait on.

Took my kids to the blind burro before the Padres game. The outdoor seating was great and our server was awesome. Good vibe in and outside the restaurant. Would recommend for adults or if you have kids.

This food was not good. The quesadillas were mushy and not cooked enough. The Caesar salad was a $16 large plate of wilted salad. We would not go back here.

We were looking forward to this restaurant, the food was average, service was unfortunately subpar, and overall we were ready to leave instead of staying for more food or drink. Atmosphere was cool, and we had high hopes. We were greeted by a host who was so bothered by his job that he walked you ti a table and mumbled something pointed at where we were supposed to sit…. So bizarre. We watched him do this time and time again, mumbling and pointing. The chips were fantastic and margaritas very good, but found our server was in a such a rush to move us along, and not interested in listening or answering questions about the menu. Her answer about having two different kinds of tacos was met with a scoff and dismissive comment on how it can’t be done unless I pay for both singly… a simple question that could have been answered helpfully or nicely. She never answered what “substreet corn was”… still don’t know. she seemed to just be a robot moving along. I would have possibly understood if the restaurant or the rest of her section was full, but it wasn’t…. she wasn’t trying to turn our table or serve others, she just wasn’t interested in her service job. Very disappointing. The queso was alright, the chorizo was the only flavorful part. The meats in our tacos were the best part, primarily the barbacoa in the burrito and the asada in the tacos were really well done and delicious, the carnitas was rather bland, but overall we were so unimpressed that we didn’t want to stay for more. We had been looking forward to a good Mexican dinner, and were bummed. Won’t return here again.

Honestly, I thought it was going to be another overpriced place in Gaslamp, but the amount of food you get for your money is so worth it! One member of our party was super late and the server was super patient with the situation. We had a great time!

Best grilled fish tacos I’ve had in a long time. Husband had the Carne Asada Cali Machete and loved it. Excellent service; super pleasant. We were here on a Thurs night so pretty quiet. My guess is that with the good food, lots of high top communal tables and a well-stocked bar, this place pretty packed on the weekends. We live downtown so this place is going on our go-to list.

Our server Alison was nice. The tortilla chips were so hard, I thought I chipped a tooth so I had her take them back. So glad I didn’t get the nachos I was going to get because that would have been a huge waste of food with those extremely hard tortilla chips. Maybe they refried left over tortilla chips as that’s what it reminded me of. I got the chicken pozole bowl, and the broth was delicious, I’d get it again. They have great brunch deals and we enjoyed the champagne with juice flights! Overall, it was good vibes the whole time we were there. Will definitely be back.

We are located in the heart of the East Village neighborhood just of the Gaslamp in downtown San Diego. We are one block from the baseball stadium. There is pleny of metered street parking and alot of both private and public pay lots.
Métro ou Station
There is a trolley station that stops on Broadway, which is 6 blocks northeast of us. The main bus route comes right down Market Street which is two blocks away.
