Authentic French restaurants are few and far between these days but Bistro Pierre delivers in true Gallic style. You’ll find this vibrant, inner-city eaterie in the heart of Liverpool’s Cavern Quarter near the world famous Mathew Street, in an old warehouse building which with its wooden floors and exposed brickwork has readily transformed itself into a rustic French bistro. Service is relaxed, warm and friendly.

Went for birthday celebration and all in all most of the group enjoyed their food , I ordered beef bourgogne but it was just like a stew with no real flavour and apple pie was ok but tiny jug of custard .

Sorry been coming to Bistro Pierre for over 20 years. We booked in to find the restaurant empty? I have never seen it like this before. The food was great but let down by the service in an empty restaurant. The staff never came back to check if food was ok so i had to resort in leaving my table and finding someone to bring bread. The main was dry but only needed more gravy and again no check and I had to leave the table again to find the staff. I am not sure why this happened as we were at the time the only customers. Finally I ordered a Kir Royale this came after about 10 minutes but it did not even resemble the drink. This was returned and we left after paying with two vouchers that I received as a birthday present. I will return and hopefully the service will improve.

Food was delicious and service excellent as usual. When we first arrived there was the usual pleasant background music but halfway through our meal really loud dance music started thumping up through the floor. I suspect this was from another bar and is outside your control but it was extremely intrusive and pretty unpleasant.

Lovely food and ambience and staff were great. Don’t be put off my location well worth a visit a bit of a hidden gem.

Everything was perfect - the food, the drinks, the service, the value for money. The only let down is that below the restaurant is a club - even at just after 6:00 p.m. the music was sound loud and the bass made the floor shake!

Nice enough place and decent service but one of the two mains we ordered looked and tasted horrible. As a French themed restaurant they shouldn’t be getting a signature dish (beef bourguignon) costing almost £20 that badly wrong. It was like soup with low quality meat. We chose not to complain because we don’t like to do that and send food back. The other main and two starters were decent, but we wouldn’t go back. Also a bit odd the house rose was Californian rather than something French. Not a big deal but it struck us as slightly odd. Pleasant atmosphere and staff.

We had booked to celebrate my wife’s recent retirement and birthday, and it was fantastic. The staff (Conor) and the young lady also working ( sorry was unable to recall your name) made this special occasion even better. The food was incredible and the only point of reference we could use, was from our favourite French restaurant in the Latin Quarter in Paris its self. One of the best meals we have both had in a long time, from starter’s to the desserts at the end of the night. If you have the chance to dine here, jump in with both feet and enjoy every bite. And don’t think this is expensive, think when are we coming back. Already planning our next trip from Scotland just for the atmosphere alone.

I like their offering - particularly the skillet of vegetables that come with main courses, and the generous cheese board is good too. Pretty good value for money. Service was a little slow - they were busy - but still waiting 30 minutes for desert to appear after ordering was somewhat tedious (so I was less generous with my tip - although perhaps that wasn't fair as I couldn't fault the service - just that they needed more staff)

We have eaten at Bistro Pierres for 30 years and have always found it an excellent restaurant in every way. It did not disappoint recently. We will be back! Great food, good sized portions, pleasant waiting on staff, fantastic ambiance.

Finding somewhere for a decent lunch, on a Saturday close to Christmas, in Liverpool - not an easy challenge! We'd taken family and friends to this small chain for many years. the 'Freres' are now down to two, I believe, as the third closed a while back. This one is keeping the flag flying, though. Great welcome, good table, excellent menus and a better than average wine list. Our third guest was so late that he managed only coffee and dessert with us - that was superb, he said. Staff are really efficient, but warm and friendly, too. We'll be back.

We enjoyed everything about the Bistro. Not Impressed with the open booking there was not booking for us on arrival, the restaurant fitted us in.

Booked table for two as a birthday treat for my fiancee service was prompt and very friendly food was great. A little noisy when busy but that's a bit bit picking as I would highly recommend anyone to book and enjoy Pierre at any time.

Lovely staff, if a little forgetful. My grandparents really enjoyed their meals. I am in slimming world so went for healthy Quinoa salad, however very little quinoa and small portions for us all. Bread was amazing and my grans desert immense.

Lovely restaurant in a great Liverpool location. The service was attentive and very friendly. We visited for father's day but have frequented here many times before as the food is of very high quality and a fair price. Worth a visit.

The crab cakes didn't taste of fish. My lamb rump was very fatty however staff very efficient and friendly

Bistro Pierre was recommended to us. It was great. Fab food and drink and lovely staff who were efficient and friendly. Great value too. Only wish we lived in Liverpool so we could visit again. And again!

We always use Pierre Bistro for our pre theatre meal. Other occasions when spending time out with friends and days out shopping. The standard of cuisine is good and consistent. The staff friendly and attentive. We have never left Pierre Bistro disappointed.

Three generations of women to celebrate birthdays for my mum and daughter 17 years, suiting all ages. We opted for the pre theatre 3 courses which was excellent value. The service was fantastic and very attentive, food delicious a really enjoyable evening. Thank you.
