The perfect spot to take our two college graduates for a special brunch. Location, ambiance, as perfect as our last time. The service from chatting unexpectedly with the maitre de to our amazing server who was personable and so helpful, completed the experience of feeling special. The restaurant was completely full from top to bottom. So we were glad we made a reservation. Next time I’ll see if it’s possible to request the window seating, particularly in the bay window! And I wonder if I requested, if they’d make note our grads in some way. We’ll be back!

The upstairs was extremely crowded and loud, with tables placed too close together. Noise level was so high I wouldn’t have stayed if maitre d’ hadn’t offered to seat us downstairs, which was much airier and peaceful. The food was very good, salad superb, the duck excellent, the halibut disappointing (better the last time I had it).

we enjoyed the beet salad and the creative water cress soup. we had the halibut which was very good. the white asparagus was stellar. we had the lemon tart for dessert which was fair. the crust was not "crisp" and felt that the tart was not made the same day . Alejandro was a good server and bartender.

This was our 2nd visit in the past few months. We were seated at table 24, a round table which is our favorite. Luis and his team were perfect attentive hosts. We have lived in Toulouse for 7 years and Bistro du Midi comes closest to reminding us of our favorite haunt there, Brasserie du Grand Cafe de l'Opera. I had 3 oysters, duck breast and my wife had the Wagyu 5-way appetizer. We shared a passion fruit Soufflé. Spectacular flavor prifles.

Went there for prix fixe Mother's Day menu which was decent value ($80 pp) for outstanding food, which will likely spark a return visit for dinner. Service was prompt and attentive with the proper cutlery "magically" appearing and water glasses always full. The close-packed tables and rush of Mother's Day resulted in some foot traffic congestion; establishing standard corridors for accessing each table might have benefited the staff. All-in-all, a great experience.

We went for the Mother's Day Brunch and the service was mediocre at best. As a Vegetarian there were not a lot of menu items available and the food took forever, despite being a fixed menu and my food was overcooked. Maybe it was the planned event, but the experience was quite disappointing and not reflective of the price we paid. Previous reviews were good, but I must seriously think if giving the restaurant another try is worth my time and money.

Food exceeded expectations. The ambiance was comfortable and service was outstanding. The watercress & wild ramp soup AND duck breast were great menu choices.

We love this restaurant and have been coming here for years. The food and service are excellent and we have our favorite table. Mr. Joseph, the General Manager, runs a tight ship and everything moves smoothly. Highly recommended.

Delicious food which is very nicely presented. Pleasant staff. Beet salad with salmon added was excellent as was the Tortellini entree.

Have enjoyed this restaurant numerous times over the years. This time dinner was cold and tasteless. Salads seemed old and soggy. Fries were substandard. Service was poor. We had to ask several times for waitstaff to follow through on a small request given at the time that we ordered- and it was finally given after request made to other waiter 20 minutes into meal- with apologies. Not the restaurant that we greatly enjoyed just 6 weeks ago.

We were grossly overcharged. When we received our bill and put the credit cards out for payment, the receipts we had to signed were returned to us with a totally different amount overcharging us for over $300 and the original receipt for our dinner missing. The manager, by some reason, refused to produce the original receipt and it took us some time to clear the situation out. Needless to say we didn’t receive any apologies. It was clear, that that wasn’t a computer mistake. Be aware! Check what bill you sign!

Another perfect meal at Bistro du Midi. My friends all had duck confit with a waffle. Every last bite was loved. My chopped salad with salmon was absolutely perfect down to the last bite. A happy, memorable meal looking out over the Boston Public Garden. Thank you!

The food simply wasn’t special. The service and wine were very good. Also, I don’t normally complain about serving sizes but they were just too small. I left hungry and I’m not overweight at all.

I really wanted to love this place (I even brought a guest from out of town) but the bread was hard and room temp, the desserts were underwhelming, we had the seafood bouillabaisse and tasting duck which was for a signature dish just ok. The service was fine and drinks were ok. We had two cocktails, two main course dishes, and two desserts and spent about $200. I definitely don’t feel like it was worth the money.

My favorite neighborhood restaurant! Not only do I bring every out of town visitor here for a lovely, memorable, delicious meal, it’s my go to spot for meals with friends. The most charming ambience, a tasty variety of menu options, and the chef kindly accommodates my dietary restrictions. Bistro du Midi is always a 5 star experience for me!

Food was late. Food was brought to us from another order (another table) then our food finally arrived. Ginger ale was dead. Took a total of 45 minutes to receive two separate bourbon drinks. The bartender had zero sense of urgency and the server had zero interest in correcting her.

The food was very good as I remember from our last visit. The service left a bit to be desired. Specifically we had booked it to celebrate my fathers 75th birthday. When I checked us in, the host seemed to have this recorded but the waitress never mentioned it, wished my dad a happy birthday, or offered any celebratory element (like a dessert). For nearly $400 dinner for 3, I would have expected a better level of hospitality.

The hostess was accommodating, the waiter could not have been more attentive and helpful with menu choices, and the ambiance was comfortable. The food was excellent - everyone was thrilled with their meal. I look forward to returning!

Beautiful spot overlooking the park with excellent service. Brunch was delicious and great menu choices for all. Special gluten-free and low sodium dietary restrictions were accommodated. All 5 of us raved about the food. Would definitely go back again.

Our waiter Jaun accommodated our food request. He shared the flexibility of some items in the menu as well. The sommelier was knowledgeable of the wine selections. We were able to sit upstairs in the back so the noise level was lower.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. Standouts were the octopus, Wagyu beef, beet gnocchi and chocolate soufflé. Even when the restaurant is full, we could hear each other talk, which is often an issue at restaurants. Such a beautiful setting. Our only criticism would be our meal was a bit rushed, with barely being done with one course and the next one was there. This was our fifth time dining here and we will be back again.

Great service. Server listened to us carefully and was able to give us exactly what we needed without us having to explicitly ask for these things. Food was very good only challenge was that the peas and fava beans dish was way too spicy.

The food is excellent. Overall, the experience is what fine dining should be. We were there during The Boston Marathon weekend, so the room was packed and rather loud. With white tablecloths and soft furnishings, our friends said that usually it is a quiet atmosphere.

If you want a place that skimps on portions and you leave hungry this is it. The food was delicious. The service prompt, professional and courteous. But the portions were tiny. I know French portions are smaller than American portions but these were tiny even compared to French standards. I’ve eaten here before and it was fine, even after COVID. But portions this time were tiny. So tiny we had to order croissants because of course they didn’t even attempt to fill us with bread. And the croissants were about 1/3 the size of a normal croissant. For $6 per croissant we should have gotten a full size croissant. There are plenty of other French restaurants in Boston where you can have delicious food served by outstanding waiters in a place with great ambiance. And those are the places I’ll be going to from now on. TBH I would have rated this restaurant 2/5 but because of the service I bumped it up a notch.
