Bhatti Indian Grill is an ultra-authentic north Indian restaurant in the heart of NYC that’s refined yet affordable, upscale and modern. Bhatti opened its doors in 2009 to much fan fare and accolades for the authenticity it brought to indian cuisine.

One of the city’s preeminent Indian chefs and restaurateurs, Gaurav Anand of Awadh and Moti Mahal Delux has completely revamped and renovated Bhatti just in time to celebrate its 10th anniversary this year. Perennially packed and attracting celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Food Network’s Duff Goldman, Bhatti became a popular dining destination due to its delicious, boldly-flavored food, especially kebabs. For its 10th anniversary, Gaurav wanted the restaurant that set him on a successful restaurant career to get a sexier new look, more elevated menu and an adventurous beverage program including an all natural wine list, befitting the next decade.

food was spicy and some of the dishes were original and different from the regular offering at Indian restaurants. It is definitely a worthwhile experience! Service was friendly and the servers were helpful in explaining the menu. Note that the noise level is high.

Still the best food/best value for Indian cuisine we've tried in New York. There are more expensive/fancier places, but none better.

I love bhatti grill - such delicious food, you can BYOB for only $10 corkage fee and they are very good on food allergies too.

Trers bon restaurant !! Nourriture savoureuse mais attention aux plats epicés !! Ils ne sont pas indiqués sur la carte donc demander au serveur! Deco très Bollywood... un must see !!!

We’d eaten here a few times over the years, and this meal / experience was not as good as we expected. The appetizers were very good, though our main courses ranged from “okay “ ( the chicken with fenugreek) to bland (the lamb korma) and so blisteringly peppery (the chicken cheninard) that I couldn’t eat more than two mouthfuls. The worst part of the evening is that there was a party of 12 people - 7 women and 5 men - who behaved as though they were at a loud club. They spoke at such a loud volume that it was nearly impossible for us to hear one another. That’s not the restaurant’s fault, but with no soft or absorbent materials on wall or ceiling, noise does echo and amplify. We were so disappointed, since we’d had some wonderful meals there before.
