From the appetizer crab cakes, to One of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten- was a wonderful dining experience. Exceeded our expectations of what a New York Steakhouse would be!

Truly the best steaks in nyc. A hidden gem that has everything you want with no airs or pretensions. Just outstanding steaks, a grand old room, and old-school waiters.

I went to Benjamin Prime in 2018, and it was spectacular. This visit was even better as far as service and the Porterhouse for Three was cooked to absolute perfection. The presentation was amazing, and my dad who has never eaten at either Benjamin Steakhouse or Benjamin Prime agreed that this was easily the best steak he’s ever had.

Perhaps the best steakhouse in NYC, and trust we’ve been to all the immediate suspects; Benjamin is more than a cut above the rest! Benjamin Steakhouse is my absolute favorite restaurant in NYC. It's a place where exceptional food, impeccable service, and a sophisticated atmosphere come together to create an unforgettable dining experience. カップルで伺いました。ピースポーターは2名分からしか頼めないため、リブアイステーキを一人分頼みました。その他、ベーコン、アスパラガスとフライドポテトで多いくらいでした。日本と違い、ザワザワしてますが、サービスも良く、いずれもとてもおいしかったです。

Delicious food. Steaks were perfectly cooked, soft and sumptuous. Service was fast, efficient, professional. I only had to look for my waiter John and he appeared.

Table of 7. We all eat prime dry aged beef, been to scores of steak house’s. I can honestly say that this was as good or the best I ever had. I had the porterhouse, it was perfectly cooked. Both filet and sirloin sides were so tasty, creamy and with just enough charbroil. They use a lot of finishing butter, but they angled the plate to let it drain. I will come again and I highly recommend this place to all meat lovers!!!

Spectacular food quality, portions bit too large for european taste. Service a bit too slow at entrance, besides that top professional. Quite load place.

This is a high end steakhouse. A good restaurant for a special occasion or a business lunch. We had the porterhouse for two and a ribeye. Both were too large for us to finish.

My wife and I took our grown children out for a what we hoped would be a fantastic steak house experience. Yelp reviews were stellar…we pulled the trigger and booked a table for 7 for early evening dinner following a show (Book of Mormon…funniest show ever!). First- the service was incredible. Hands down the best dining service I’ve ever experienced…and I travel a ton for work all over the planet…our waiter (can’t remember his name…but he was awesome) was super attentive but not in a “hovering to churn our table” kind of way. The drinks were delish, the food was prepared excellently and everyone ate to the brim…not typical for my crew. The onion soup (delish), the tuna tartare, the mozz/tom salad- excellent, the tomahawk steak for two was perfectly cooked…flavorful and more than enough to feed 3 of us…the other steaks all came out perfectly seasoned and cooked. The sides…must try the dreamless creamed spinach, their steak fries…what an awesome discovery. Oh, they have 2 locations….we ate at their 52 E 41st street location. My wife and I grew up and worked in the restaurant and bar businesses and worked in them for 20 years…Benjamin’s blows the more popular NYC steak houses OUT OF THE WATER…hands down. We’ll be back because the food was amazing, the vibe of the room is cool and enough energy to have fun but also enjoy conversation, and the staff and service were 10 out of 10.

I have been bringing business partners and colleagues to Benjamin Steakhouse since they opened in 2006. Never ever have they failed to be the best steakhouse and best experience overall. Appetizers, sides, strip on the bone is unbeatable, and their bartenders are total professionals.

A great start to our anniversary evening started at Benjamin’s. Our server Sam was excellent through the service and recommended a great paired red wine for me. All items c as me out presented and cooked perfectly. Spacing between courses gave my wife an I ample time to talk and relax before the next round of food. Our meal finished up and we were brought a complementary desert with happy anniversary written in strawberry sauce. We struggled to finish that off but then we said our goodbyes snd headed crosstown to see “Tommy”.on Broadway. Kudos to Benjamin’s s as bd their top notch staff for a wonderful evening!

The food and service were outstanding. People that must dine gluten free gravitate to steak and seafood houses. It is a shame that there is only one (crème brûlée) gluten free desert offered. Management should look into offering a flourless chocolate cake or something similar for GF diners.

Food was amazing and service impeccable. Very traditional setting, so don’t go if you want ‘a scene’, but if you want an amazing meal, this is the place. One of the best steakhouses I’ve been to in the city.

This is the fifth time we have visited the restaurant on our visits to New York and our experience is always superb. The food, service and hospitality are always excellent - we look forward to seeing you again next week before we fly home to England .

My wife and I always enjoy Benjamin Steakhouse, although until last night we had not dined there as a couple since before the covid shutdown. The food was great as always. We had the "Steak for Two" which was a porterhouse that we shared. We also shared sides of mashed potatoes and creamed spinach, which were also excellent. We skipped the appetizers, as my wife has a shellfish allergy and we were not interested in the non-selfish appetizers this time. We each had a cocktail before dinner, and we shared a bottle of Malbec during the meal. The main course was enough for us, but we did each get dessert and coffee/tea after dinner. We each were each given a complementary glass of port after dinner as well. We very much enjoyed all of the food. We finished everything, but the dessert was almost pushing the amount were were comfortable eating. If I were to do this again, I would have skipped the hot fudge sundae and just shared my wife's cheesecake. The service was great, with a lot of attention paid to us by our waiter. We were taking our time finishing our cocktails at the beginning of the evening, so he asked if we wanted him to wait on bringing out the main courses until we had finished our cocktails; we opted to ask him to wait. During this time he brought and opened our wine selection so it could breath. I was somewhat disappointed in the ambiance this time. The atmosphere was more casual than I had remembered. The background music was mostly pop/rock and I would have appreciated a softer genre. That would have helped make for a more elegant experience. I'll certainly be going back again.
