    Restaurant is a little run down , we were seated just a few minutes after our reservation time but once seated it seemed they were very short staffed and didn't have a chef for us, the waitress that did finally arrive was very friendly and apologetic and the chef was friendly as well. The food however had no flavor and two people ordered teriyaki chicken and the rest ordered just hibatchi chicken and they all got the same, I also ordered the " spicy" tofu and it was bland , I don't know whether he just forgot to add the spicy or what. Overall I won't return, wasn't worth the price that we paid.

    This is my go to location ! But yesterday I was a little annoyed it was overly crowded because it was Mother’s Day so even though I had a reservation there was still a 40 minute delay . Alcoholic beverages took about 15 minutes to come out. The food was still great as usual but we were rushed out to get another group in. I won’t go again on Mother’s Day

    It wqas a busy mother's day so it was busy. Unfortunately, they took way more reservations then they should have. We had to wait nealry an hour to be seated even with a reservation.

    With our reservation we were told that it would still be 90minute wait. The manager said there was nothing they could do and I know they over booked themselves. When we finally sat the table after 70 minutes of waiting it was too small doesn’t fit more then 8 people he swore fits 12. Every single table is the same exact size. When ordering another drink at the table the waiter grabbed my drink with his finger inside the glass and brought back the same drink filled with my same straw. Completely unsanitary! The meat did not taste good and the shrimp tasted like it was frozen. EXTREMELY disappointed and will never go back there. For Short hills a place like this need to be better. Place was very dirty.

    ENTIRELY too overbooked for Mother's Day. Our reservation was for 3:15. When I arrived, I advised that 3 guests were a few minutes away. The hostess then told me to let her know when everyone had arrived. The restaurant was literally HOURS behind, the hostess could have absolutely put me in the queue. After waiting approx 45-50 minutes to be seated, we then waited ANOTHER 40 minutes to receive beverages. I recall getting my first drink between 4:45-5 pm from a 3:15 reservation. I expected a bit of a delay on a holiday. There should have been a manager coming regularly to the front to assist/manage the customers waiting. Cool/fun place for groups, but I can get much better service, value and food a lot closer to home. I don't plan to revisit unless I'm comped a meal.

    Never again! The place is overbooked and the idea of reservation is somehow completely lost. Hosts could not provide a seating time. Wait with reservation was over an hour. I do not recommend this place.

    Services were amazing . Only thing i didn’t like was how we had to wait for reservations that started since 1:00 PM to either be seated or be finished . There was a server named Helder. His services definitely deserves a raise. He had on a black and red shirt with curly hair. He was fast and made sure we had everything that we needed and constantly checked in on us. 10 out of 10 would recommend him to anyone that goes to this location. Definitely deserves the position he has .

    We were not happy with the FORCED upcharge for Mother's Day. 18% mandatory tip to be exact. We were a party of 3 and this added an extra $30 onto our bill. This was not shared upfront and was only communicated AFTER we ate the meal. The menu was also overpriced (higher than usual). We budgeted $80 based on our previous visits and ended up spending over $140. Not sure I will be back.

    Understandable since it was Mother’s Day, but all reservations seemed to be screwed up and people were waiting a long time for their table. Our reservation was for 1230, we were not seated until 145.
