The food lacked the flavor Im used to, the chef cut the meat, chicken and shrimp into big pieces which were difficult to eat and had a bit of an attitude when asked to please cut them down. I’ve been a patron for 30 years, and I find that this is no longer the authentic Japanese that I’ve been used to.

Took almost 3 hours to eat. Short staffed. It was not a great experience.

They were Short staff our waiter forgot stuff but he was hustling so can’t blame him. Chef was good got our food done as we asked.

It was amazing!!! I just wanna thank the manager that accomadated my large party !!! The service was great ! Santa Monica is always my go to ! Til next time keep up the great work ,The whole staff Host,sever,Chefs,and Management!!!

Had a great time , food was great , ambiance was also great. Good place to come celebrate or just for a good date night.

The food was good but the service was outstanding. My 9yo daughter had a mild allergic reaction to something she ate. I asked for directions to the closest store to purchase Benedryl. One of the managers insisted on running to the nearby store to pick it up for us. And then, when that store's meds were expired she came back to let me know and dashed off to another store. Within a very short time, I had a pack of meds in my hand tableside. For this type of above-and-beyond service alone I would return.

A hundred or more visits in my life. Shrinkflation has taken affect. My only complaint. I wish I had a picture of my servings- literally 30% less shrimp, calamari steak was maybe 2.5 oz, scallops were about 20% less. Onions and mushrooms totaled 3/4 of a cup. The chicken breast for 4 fried rice was maybe 3oz. Small, small, small! A Benihana plate should fill. I picked from a corner. Still very tasty

For what they charge, it's definitely not worth it. And the food was so so

Honestly, it was my birthday.. very crowded.. there was hair all over the table, there was something in my water .. i didn’t enjoy myself
