There is no shortage of volume but it’s not a4.1 star venue. This place is 2 star with a 4 star price tag. Teppanyaki should be fairly high end not sure if it’s just a NY thing but you could do better elsewhere for dinner.

It’s my favorite hibachi restaurant! Kids meals are high and they give children little portions at adult prices. Food is amazing

Reservation was at 8:30 and didn’t seat until 9:35. Super rude front desk. Servers are nice but understaffed and food was good

It was great, love the benihana. They even take a picture of your entire party, so cute. I recommend. Always reserve a table in advance, they get busy for dinner. Our chef was amazing.

Ambience was cute in a separate room. The chef put on a great show. The food tasted great except the filet was a little salty. The waiter forgot one of our teas but gave us ice cream later. Good times all around.

Music didn’t start playing very low until 6pm. Although we had a 5:15 it took a long time for them to get started. Mostly because of drink orders that were made. The food was prepared to my satisfaction but I felt rushed after the cook left. They cleaned and swept all around us even though we were still eating.

The food was good. The cook did a good job. My meat was very tasty and tender. It was my birthday and I really enjoyed my self. The staff is very respectable, I can not complain about anything.

The food was the best part, alcoholic drinks were garbage - mostly taste juice. Our Waitress Zune seemed overwhelmed the entire time. The Cook - Hem was great, made sure the kids and adults at the table were entertained and made our food exactly to everyone's order.

The food was tasteless. The chef barely put any salt and pepper on any of the meats. Also they added an extra chicken and rice meal to our check and didn’t take it once when we told them. Also, the chef KNEW my boyfriend was allergic to shellfish and he threw a shrimp tail in his water trying to be funny then had the nerve to be upset when my bf told him something !

The bright side is the lovely staff, who are so nice and professional, working against the odds the food was good We had a 745 reservation and did not sit down till almost 9 PM. —not OK. The decor is horrendous throughout. The whole place needs a facelift. It’s been several years since we were there and we won’t go back.

Reservation was for 830. I never got seated till 1030 for my party of 7. I know things happen but 2 hours later? Then we sat and waited for our starters, appetizer was cold, we had to wait for our server to bring untensils. While my server was good as well as the chef, this was not one of the best dining experiences I have had here, and I have eaten at this location often, at different times of the year.

Open table helped us to make a last minute reservation in New York while on vacation. The food at Benihana was great. Be ware that what comes with the meals is it, everything else is an up charge. It says white rice and we asked for noddles instead, it was a $6 up charge. We asked for fried rice instead of white rice it was a $15 up charge. The server never said it was an up charge so it was a surprise once the bill came. But the food was good and the chef was very entertaining.

Fun times but it was my daughters birthday and they refused to seat us til the whole party was present and we knew one person was running late. I asked if they could make an exception so I could set up for her party and the hostess said she’d have to ask the manager. He VERY rudely said no. The one guest was 20 minutes late and at that time they said that NOW they’d enter us as here and NOW we could wait even longer for the table set up. We had to wait downstairs for 30 minutes to be seated for our reservation. Once we sat down the servers and chef were lovely and they created a nice atmosphere. I was a bit underwhelmed by the experience - took 45 mins to go to our table (even though we had booking)… food was good but I expected better for the money we paid. I also expected more of a “show” rather than just to see them cook the food.
