The person taking our orders and bringing drinks/checks was great! Our cook however didn’t do any of the typical show. Didn’t do the throw the shrimp in the hat. Or the heart with the rice. Not the train with the onions. I brought my wife here for her birthday. Very disappointed.

This was the worse experience I had at Benihana. This is usually my go to for my birthday every year. The service was terrible. We spent about 3 hours in total there. Took 30 minutes for our server to even acknowledge us. Another 30 minutes for our chef to arrive. After the chef was finished it took another 30 minutes for us to receive boxes and bills. We had to ask for silverware after she dropped our salads off and walked away. My brother got up to go find us straws. She didn’t bring soy sauce with our sushi rolls. The server barely checked in us. Towards the end I told the waitress I did not like my drink , she asks me why am I just now letting her know. Even though I set the drink to the side two spots away from me half way through the chef being there. But she wouldn’t know because she was not attentive at all. One of my family members even caught her rolling her eyes as she walked away. & With all that being said if you all are going to add auto gratuity you should atleast make sure your service is up to par. We would have had a better time somewhere else for half the price. It’s very disappointing. I’ve been coming here since a child. Definitely not the same. And I felt bad for inviting my family out to spend money at my favorite place just to have a terrible time.

OCEAN TREASURE was not to stand for the price went for anniversary dinner and had to sit with a family that had small children not complaining for the bill but when you pay 150,00+ for two people it has to be decent food and service

Waited over 20min passed our reservation time to be seated. When we were seated, chairs were dirty with some food/Liquid on it. I brushed them off and sat. Waitress was fast with placing our drinks. Rice for the fried rice was undercooked and still hard. There was water all on the floor and sink in the women’s bathroom- disgusting.

The service was terrible my kids waited over 30 minutes for over priced chicken tenders my server did a very poor job serving us. The cook was excellent. The food was ok

Didn’t notify in advance of the limited menu options and the 20% service charge added (before tip) to all dine-in bills until we were at the restaurant. The food and service were good, but it cost quite a bit more than we were expecting.

Benihanas has doubled in price. 2 adult meals and 1 kids dinner turned out to be $188, and that was with the $30 bday coupon. On top of that, there was an additional $58 in fees. Everything was double taxed. I paid a beverage tax, and a wine tax. Two service fees, a food tax, 2 food service fees. The food and service alone isn’t worth all of the additional fees.

Cost is ridiculous!!! All the fees they add is just absurd. For 2 dinners, $154, that’s a joke! Definitely not worth it. Won’t be going back.

I'd not been to Benihana in a very long time, and the experience was almost as good as I remember it. The chef you get makes all the difference. Our chef was good but not great, while the chef at the table next to us had his crowd dancing and cheering and he was performing before our chef arrived and well after ours had left. The service was fine and the food was good.

I have been here many times but this time it seemed pretty run down. The first table we sat at had a leak dripping on us from the ceiling. When I went to the restroom I walked by a room and saw flies flying around. It was pretty gross. They then brought us to a new table in a room that was extremely cold. We were all wearing our coats. Someone in our party ordered sushi as their entree and it never came, we ended up cancelling it since the rest of us were done eating. For the cost of this place you should be treated like a fine dining restaurant. I think Benihana can do a lot better than this.

Our staff was wonderful unfortunately we sat with a rude group who talked on their phones and over the staff constantly. The food was good otherwise

Everything was good for a lunch time seating. Good food and an entertaining cook. The only negative was that my companion upgraded her steak and we both heard $3, but it was $7 on the bill. The server didn't seem willing to adjust it. Not enough to make a fuss over. A good experience!

The service was excellent, our waitress was very attentive. The chef was entertaining and cooked well. We have not been to this location for years, and we were pleasantly surprised how good it was. They even printed out our picture and put it in a Benihana paper frame, which our usual location does not do anymore. Lots of yummy leftovers to be enjoyed the next day!

I reserved a table on OpenTable for 2pm and was messaged at 1:20p that my table was ready. When i arrived at 2pm, there was a sign on the counter that said there was an automatic mandatory 20% surcharge added to the ticket and that gratuity was not necessary. When i asked the host about this she said she didn't have any interest in it so she didn't know about it but to ask the server when we sat at our table. There were a total of 10 people in the restaurant when we sat down. We were told that no one else was coming to our table unless there was a walk in. I asked the server about the 20% gratuity and she just said it was added on the bill automatically. When the chef arrived, it was business as usual, the chef did a good job of cooking except when my daughter asked for teriyaki on her steak and chicken. He poured a bunch on the grill, added the steak and dumped it all on her plate. Her food was swimming in teriyaki sauce. The same happened with the chicken. The price for lunch for 2 people with water to drink was $70!!! I choose not to visit Benihana again in the future until i hear that the service and mandatory 20% is lifted. No wonder no one was there, it's way overpriced!!!

Not what it used to be! Fried rice tasted like cooking oil. Vegetables had little flavor. Vegetables and fried rice used to have sesame seeds but we had to remind the chef and he didn’t have them on the cart. My wife’s calamari and scallops were both undercooked. For the money, I would did elsewhere.

We had terrible table partners! They were rude and disrespectful to the cook and server. They were playing loud music as they were til tok’ing while eating. We will be back. It was some of the best hibachi’s we’ve been to. But the worst experience.

Our table chef was precise, but very slow. Our rice and veggies were stone cold by the time the meat came off the grill, and most everything didn't have that lovely grilled taste--nothing crispy brown, but more watery cream in color. Service was slow--we waited for drink refills for several minutes. I believe the server had too many tables, and had a difficult time keeping up. The tables were greasy, and the floor was slippery under our feet. We will carefully consider another visit, especially with a 20% service charge automatically added to the bill.

We had a group of 6 to celebrate one of the guests 40th birthday. We also had a number of dietary restrictions in the group. Both our waitress and table cook were very attentive. It is one of our favorite special occasion places to go for celebrating.

. Was fine. A bit slow service. Forgot kids, chopsticks, and dessert. Wasn’t asked if I wanted anything else to drink.

Food was mediocre, standard Chinese food it seemed I could have gotten it from a buffet and it would have been better…chef was boring there was essentially NO presentation. Food was incredibly overpriced for what we got. Don’t recommend and wouldn’t re-attend.

LOVE BENI BUT ever since the beginning adding the “service fee” the staff especially the wait staff don’t give as good customer service as they did before. Our waitress on this visit NEVER came by to see how we were doing or refill our drinks. She was nowhere to be seen. Only showed up at the end of our meal to offer us boxes. I LOVE the food (this time it lacked the full flavor but was okay) so I’ll continue to dine there. Hope the service gets better.

From the minute we walked in, it was like a circus was going on. Not a business was being run. Servers were up at the host stand complaining about some corporate nonsense paperwork out to fill out, I don't even understand why you make being a server such a big deal on the job. They're servers, let them be servers, let them do their job. Let them make their tips and go home. It doesn't have to be a big corporate thing. You're lucky you have anybody to work for you at all. It took an hour to get seated. Then another half hour to get greeted at the table. I had to get the manager involved who offered us some kind of a comp on the bill. But we never got anything at the end. When the server and the chef did arrive, they were both very good. It wasn't their fault and the food was decent, but the overall experience was terrible. And 1 person in the bar to handle all the tables and the bar again, you need to make it a good fun place to work or you're not going to have anybody to work there. Most smaller non corporate run restaurants are much better in quality. Ambience and experience. It's time you big box corporate type business people need to get back to what you're really doing here. One positive is I felt like the ventilation had been somehow updated because I didn't smell like benihana when I left.

We love Benihana and normally it is a good time. Our cook didn’t do much of a show at all. He did the onion train with the train whistle and said coca-cola for soy sauce and ice cream for butter but other than that no show was done. We also didn’t get our picture taken which is always something we enjoy. Lastly our waiter never came for at least 30 minutes. We wanted to order drinks but we’re not able to do so. Overall it was poor service for the price of our meal.

Very long wait between soup/salad and the chef arriving. Then we couldn't find our server during the meal at all. Had to go get out own water refill. We were seated for over 2 1/5 hours. This is always where we celebrate our birthdays.

White wine was not cold. Ended up watered down putting ice in it. It was very loud and very hot.

Food good but the quality of what you get now seems to have went down over the years but the price has increased. You used to get a better experience and great food for the price they charge per person… now it’s mediocre ( 2 stars for 5 star price)…. The cook and waitress was very nice. This restaurant is 10 times better than the one located in the MOA. But as I was looking around the decor was SUPER dusty/dirty… money obviously isn’t going into maintaining the restaurant ambience.
