    Listen, great place. The food was truly outstanding. The amount of butter, salt and oil is a bit aggressive. But, the prices are now ridiculous. $60pp for chicken and no alcohol nor dessert. I mean come on. The service was super super slow. It was a 2 hour ordeal. I won't be back.

    What a wonderful experience! We were warmly greeted by the host and seated almost immediately. Chris set the mood with his happy to lucky personality and professionalism. On top of getting our orders and drinks. He introduced Guillermo our chef, who was so entertaining and skilled. Great sense of humor and knows how to play with the crowd! Good food and drinks with an amazing staff! Would highly recommend!

    They were short staffed and our server kept reminding us. We felt rushed. We didn't stay to eat our food. I've been coming for 9 yrs to this location for my bday but never again. I don't care if I get a bday certificate or not, the service has definitely went down hill. You have lost a loyal customer, if you care.

    Unbeknownst to us the restaurant ‘closed’ at 7pm. Our reservation was at 6:45pm, and there were other reservations available at 7pm. How do you expect this kind of meal to be prepared and eaten, and exit the restaurant in 15 minutes? It takes at least an hour. The problem is the service staff decided they didn’t want to work past 7:00, only the chef. After our server got our first round of drinks and our order, she basically stopped working. No one ever came back to ask if we needed another drink, and never refilled even a glass of water. We had to get up and go find our own personnel and found many people standing around, but not working. That’s when they said they were done at 7:00pm. Even though there were 6 tables still at the beginning stage of their dining (6:45 & 7:00 pm reservations). No one seemed to care we had no refills on drinks or water. And they never came back to clear the soup & salad bowls after that course. So the chef had to work around that mess. Finally a manager came in to take care of some of that. It was extremely poor service to say the least. And if you close at 7pm, then you shouldn’t offer reservations any later than 6pm. It’s the Mall of America, tons of people in the mall, who knew a restaurant wouldn’t stay open for dinner? Especially if your customers are from out of state and don’t have that local knowledge. Bad experience for us, we won’t be back.

    Summary: We waited far too long for our chef to arrive and we ended up leaving after waiting about 1hr 30min. I reserved 2 seats for hibachi at 6pm. We were a bit late but not more than 10 minutes. We were seated a few minutes after arriving. We were seated for about 5 minutes before we got our drinks ordered. The waiter briefly stated that they were short staffed. It took about 10 to 15 minutes for our drinks to arrive. I ordered some sake with a Pepsi and was given a Corona. They took our orders, took back the Corona and went to get the sake I originally asked for. It took another 5 to 10 minutes for them to tell me they were out of sake I ordered so I settled for a different sake that was not very good. Around the time I finally got my drink we got our soup. Salads came about 10 minutes after that. So we've been seated for over half an hour now. Then we played the waiting game for almost another hour. After being seated for an hour and a half our chef finally arrived as we were getting ready to leave. By that point the wait was simply too long and we were getting annoyed. Annoyed enough that it was starting to ruin our otherwise great day so far. So the chef has arrived and we are on the edge of leaving and then some manager comes over to the chef and pulls him away to speak with him. Neither the chef or manager said anything to the guests seated and just walked away. We have been waiting far too long and then management pulls the chef away? What?! I got out of my seat and found somebody who could get us our check. I think the person I asked for a check was the head manager. Not that I sought them out, I just happened to walk by them. I politely asked for the check and briefly said that our wait was just too long. They comped our soft drinks and I paid $14 for bad sake, soup and salad. No verbale apology, nothing. Terrible, terrible service for what was going to be a $100+ meal. We left around 7:45pm. Totally ruined the evening and put us in a sour mood.

    The food was good but the service was extremely slow. It took an hour to get my drink from the bar, and the chef took even longer to come to the table. I put on the reservation that it was my 7 year old daughter’s birthday, also told the server and chef. They sang happy birthday to the tables all around us and never sang to her.

    Service has gone down hill quite a bit. Sat with several empty plates in front of me and empty beverages for some time. Walked back and forth and never cleared them or asked for refills. Chicken was over cooked but the rest was great! Never offered our ice cream, had to ask for it. With the 20% service fee now added on and service now pretty bad, we will head over to Osaka.

    Chef did not do all the tricks that I have previously seen before; its upsetting because it was my parents first time and they had to watch other tables/chefs do tricks that ours didn't. He had no enthusiasm at all. Made the food super salty, burned out veggies, and having to wait for him to cook for us and the other people that were our table just took forever. We were already 4 plus the other 3 customers was just just too many because we all had big orders from steak, shrimp and lobster tails. Being served one item at the time while he cooked the rest of the food was not pleasant. By the time the rest of the food arrived to your plate the one from earlier was already cold. The waiter was not that pleasant either. Just trying to get his attention to bring refills, figure out if they had the available desert we requested and or bringing the bill took forever. He even charged us wrong amount same with the other customers and we had to mention it to bring it too his attention. He fixed them but you had to wait more time. We just wanted to leave. I've been here twice and it was an enjoyable experience but but this 3rd time with family that hasn't been here before was simply a bad experience. Mainly because our chef was not trained well. He was friendly but not knowledgeable with how much seasoning was enough as well as the tricks he did which were sad and boring. Nothing much happened.
