I had a great first experience! Our chef was hilarious and made for a great dinner for my daughters and I on Mothers Day. Our chefs name was Sheridan. I would definitely request him to be my chef if that’s possible for my next visit! He was awesome.

Our Chef cooked the food perfectly, as far as doneness and flavors. He did new tricks - unfortunately I didn’t get his name but great job Chef!

We have come here so many times because the kids like to watch the cooking. It used to be hit or miss, but now it’s consistently bad. A woman in another family at our table didn’t like the way her chicken was cooked and wanted it cooked longer. She had waited a while to say something, and the chef got really mad. He berated her in front of everyone saying he was the chef and knew how to cook food. He said in a loud voice: “you know how to speak English, right?!!” His anger got very uncomfortable and the atmosphere was ruined. The restaurant used to be ok, but it’s just gotten worse and worse. The kids aren’t sad we’re not going back because many of the chefs don’t even do tricks anymore; the volcano is about it. Typically disappointing; occasionally ok.

It was my birthday 🎂. The waitresses and cooks look tired and unhappy. Food is not tasty. The atmosphere is empty and dirty. The place needs renovation and stuff needs training!

The wait staff is always inconsistent, last night the hostess was lovely And amazing, the chefs always are as well. Unfortunately the waiter again wasn’t. Took my soup when i hadn’t even taken a sip, didn’t refill drinks, gave us the check seconds into eating after the chef left and then stood and waited for me to hand him a tip after i said it would be cash.

Our reservation was for 730 and they were a lil behind. Not a big deal right? We sat at the table for about 50 mins waiting for for the cheif. The table next to us had been clear and started to be sat as our chief came to our table. With in about 15 mins no of that the other tables chief had already started cook there food. Our chief was cooking g all items one by one and no he was not new, the table asked. As our chief started the rice the other table had completed the meal and as our table was served rice the others had the ice cream. We hadn’t even got our steaks yet. And as per my first statement he cooked each meals steak one at a time. This made the meal 3 hours long and two of those were him cooking. He also had the go get more items four different times. The wait staff was great and even the other chief. Oh and a side note even he had looked over three or four times to figure out what was going on. All and all my girls 21st birthday dinner which we now can’t get back was the worst. 180.00 ish dollars later the meal was the worst possible thing we could have done that night. It even made us late for the other events that we had planned. Our selfs and one of the other couples at the table had even asked for our bill before he was even done cooking because they where late for there other event. I real hope the is seen and the management does something to make it right.

Night and day compared to the last time we were here. Everything was on point, Dennis is a great chef and was mindful of everything including our drinks being refilled. The level of effort from the employees was high and the results were very positive. The only reason I made reservations here again (very bad last experience) was because I attended a show downtown and this was one of the only places that had an opening for 5 people. I’m glad it worked out that way, and now I am open to dining here again. Great work!

This is essentially a 2.5-star review, as half-stars aren't an option. We arrived at 4:45 PM for our 5 PM reservation for my significant other's birthday. After checking in, we enjoyed a sake flight at the bar before being seated promptly at 5 PM. Initially, service was quick—we ordered water and a margarita. However, when our server returned for our order, not everyone was ready, and despite our readiness to order appetizers, she left without taking any orders. By 5:15 PM, we placed our full order, receiving our appetizer quickly. Yet, we waited until approximately 5:50 PM for the chef, a full 50 minutes post-reservation. The server refilled our waters only twice, and finding her when needed was challenging. The table was overly crowded, making the setup uncomfortable for dining. Regarding the food and entertainment: both were enjoyable. The chef was engaging and humorous, and the dishes—specifically the Benihana trio and Hibachi supreme my partner and I ordered—were delicious, albeit pricey at around $100 for these two items alone. Including extras, the total came to about $184 with tip. In retrospect, I would have preferred to wait at the bar rather than being seated at a crowded and cramped table. While the food and chef were highlights, the service and seating arrangement detracted significantly from our experience. Hopefully, this review helps set accurate expectations for future diners.

We’ve been to Benihana plenty of times this was definitely a huge step down. We arrived 30 minutes early 5:15pm and were told we would have to wait until our reservation time to be seated, ok place must be busy, nope, I looked in the dining room 8 of the 12 tables were completely empty, I’m with my 85yo parents who use a walker and were forced to sit in the entryway in low rickety stools, another man with 2 children sitting in the entryway asked how much longer he would have to wait, her response was I will seat you at your reservation time and not before. A bit later he and his kids were seated at a table that had been empty the entire time, we were seated after 30 minutes at a table that had also been empty the entire time. This is unacceptable absolutely poor service. The food service and show was fine. Try not to look around at the rest of the restaurant, dusty 2nd grade art on the wall falling apart out of the frame, dirty floors that need to be replaced, at the end of dinner I pull out my cc to pay and I’m told I need to pay cash, ummm no, Our card reader system is down, not my problem you didn’t mention it before we ate. Oh look the table next to us is paying with a card well it must be working again so it’s ok. As we go to leave 6tables still completely empty, entry way is full of about 15 hungry looking people waiting. Poor, will not be back

The service was horrible, didn’t even get my drink until the chef was finishing up. Got our appetizers, soup and salad halfway through the cooking. Extremely overpriced drinks and everything for that matter. Was my son’s birthday and they didn’t even sing to him even though they knew and sang to another table. Don’t think I’ll be coming back… wasted $300 on three people.

Zack was our chef. He prepared an excellent mea l He prepared all of our proteins to perfection. Downside to the evening was our server. Perhaps it was his very first night on the job. If not, he should probably look elsewhere for employment. We were there for 45 minutes without being approached or offered any service. He would disappear for long periods of time. Luckily, the rest of the staff jumped in to help him out. We will return because we love Bennihanna. But I will ask to be moved if he's my server again. There were two birthdays at our table. Neither was offered dessert or was there the usual birthday song celebration. The other group at our table was also unhappy.

The chef was awesome. Food was great. The waiter was extremely slow just for sodas. Had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation time because they try to fill up the whole table with other people coming in later. That happens every time and is extremely irritating.

I believe we had a new cook, the food took a bit of time to make it to our plate and some of it was overcooked and a little crispy. The cook himself was nice and attentive however there was no show and little interaction with the cooking process. We got there at 7pm and was seated fairly quickly and he finished cooking just before 9pm. We chose this place for my husband's birthday dinner and the server asked if he wanted to be sung to which made it awkward so he said no, the restaurant was empty by then anyways and I believe she would have been the only one singing. This was not our first time to Benihana but it may be a little while before we go back.

We have been to Benihana’s on multiple occasions and I would have to say this was the best time yet! Jason, our server, was attentive and very friendly. He helped make our anniversary exceptionally special! Our chef, Brad, did such a fantastic job! My scallops and steak were both cooked perfectly! I could not have asked for a better dining experience! I look forward to celebrating there again!

The chef did no tricks and even stacked the flaming onion with his fingers. He struggled to cut the veggies and meat. He was very get at “splatting” spoonfuls of butter over everything.

Food was wonderful, however the service was not. I had to ask for a few thing that should have just been a normal thing. Like my drink I ordered.

Really chaotic environment. Not suitable for a date unless you want a movie theater experience ie. Not looking at them and not being able to talk (because there is too much ambient noise). Likely good for big groups with lots of energy, but it was too expensive for a casual outing, and not worth the price for a fancy outing because of the environment they have made. (There are about 14 grills with fans running, with roughly 8-person tables at each- all in one room. You can imagine the noise level.) We went at 9pm with a reservation and were told to wait for 30 minutes, only being seated as we stood up to leave. There were small children crying, it felt like the chaos after a flight is canceled around a holiday- made me sad to have saved up for an eat-out occasion.

The food was great and our chef Dennis was amazing as always. Our server left a lot to be desired. Subpar at best for service.

I reached out to Benihana but 3 days later they have yet to respond. Was not going to leave a bad review without giving them the opportunity to make it right. “Chef” was dirty. Looked like he hadn’t had a shower in weeks. Food was under seasoned and overcooked. Except for the scallops. They were almost raw. $200 and it was horrible. The only thing good about this trip was our server. Our drinks were never empty which is good because dude took forever!

Chef was fantastic and so was the food. Waitress and cleaning staff was amazing and very nice. But we waited a half hour over our reservation time in the lobby and then over an hour at the table with no food and 3 hungry kids, in total we spent 3 hours there, with very hungry and restless kids, and the prices went way up - $100 more than our last dinner there.

The experience was fantastic. It's hibachi type dining and they did a great job of both feeding the table and entertaining us all as well. It's spendy but the food and the experience was absolutely fantastic! We plan on taking our whole family there next.

Our server wasn't the most attentive. She was nice just seemed overwhelmed. She was forgetful. Got our order wrong so the cook had to leave twice. Even after he was done cooking, it was still wrong. We had 3 kids with us so wasnt worth the added wait time to correct. The mgr noticed she overcharged us and immediately rectified it--to him thank you. Another server...Alicia I believe...made sure we had water, refills and brought us boxes. She even thanked us for coming in on our way out! Would have been great to have her instead of the server we actually got. I guess the lack of service was due to the auto grat we had to pay for our large party. Auto grat is fine, but it was like she didn't even try or care because she knew she would get 18% no matter what. Benihana was a favorite. Shame.

The server was very proactive with amenities that help with small children. Good service all dinner.
