I love Bali Hai. Food is always amazing , ambience makes me feel I’m on vacation ( i’m a local) and the view makes me proud to live in San Diego

Been coming to this restaurant since the early 1960’s. Can’t beat the view from the dining room, excellent drinks and upscale menu since our last visit!

Beautiful setting, employees are welcoming. Service was great. The food was ok. The tiki drinks surprisingly were not very flavorful again. The San Diego Sling tasted like a watered down artificial flavored club soda same with the Navy Grog, Peles Relief was delicious Puffer Fish was ok. It seems the drinks with fruits juices maybe are not with fresh squeezed fruits like the limes lemons and oranges? They just seemed lacking. Will come again, as the setting and service are great. Maybe I’ll stick with the Pele’s Relief. I went home and made some craft tiki drinks with fresh squeezed juices and I would pay $14 for my own creation.

Went with friends who grew up in San Diego & had never been here. Dinner was great & Mai Tia’s were yummy! Oh Dessert was amazing!

Sunday brunch is a MUST DO. Betty was our server and she was fantastic. 10/10 recommend!

Bali Hai was recommended to me by a friend for the ahi and the view. I loved the view it was really beautiful with the water and the boats. It was quite loud, but we went on Sunday for the brunch. The service was good, waiter and others picked up plates often. The ahi did not disappoint however I wish it had some wontons or rice to go along with it. The crab was okay but would have been better if we had the option to steam them. Everything else was tasty but over all I think $68 a person is a bit much for the quality of the food.
