We were not served our main course until an hour and a half had passed. The table we were given was blinded by the sun after time passed.. This should have been anticipated by staff and seated in a more comfortable table. The food not very good a Mexican main dish was nowhere near authentic All very disappointing as we were looking for a place we would regularly visit

Busy Mother’s Day when we arrived at 1:30. Time between courses too long. Kids items were too fancy for their taste. Suggest putting toppings on the side for kids. First course pastries were excellent. Lox and baguette was excellent. Wagyu steak very good. Crab was good but not very large serving. Brown butter cake very good.

Attended a Mother's Day prix fixed menu for $110.00 per person. Our reservations were at 12:00 noon and we didn't leave until 3pm because the service was so poor. Presentation of food was nice but restaurant service and quality of food was average.

We went to Avant for Mother's Day Brunch. While it did take a little bit to get the courses, it was more than worth the wait! The brunch was a special menu, but even in our previous visits, Avant does not disappoint! Julio was our server and was phenomenal! Great experience!

I wish I could remember the name of our waiter, but he was EXCELLENT!. The food was abundant, fresh and wonderful in assortment. I would highly recommend Avant and bonus for us was the Travelzoo certificate we purchased to make this our first, but definitely not last time to this Sunday Brunch!

Absolutely the best brunch I have ever been to! I would highly recommend going there and enjoying the amazing food and the delicious champagne! Our server Eric, was so attentive and his recommendations on certain food items was spot on!! I would definitely go back!

We had a lovely dinner. The staff was incredibly accommodating to my mom in a wheelchair and all very nice and attentive. The food was amazing! And beautifully presented.

I’ve always loved this restaurant the selection and the creativity is outstanding! However, I would be wary of the duck only because the way they serve it medium rare, which is normally fine for me makes it very tough. I think medium would’ve been a better choice. And unfortunately, the table they sat at while it was lovely and I was very happy with it. It was right underneath an air-conditioning unit. Our food got cold very very quickly. I had the strip sirloin, which was excellent outstanding the broccoli Robb, which I love normally was very tough the sauce they served with it was outstanding so you could only eat the broccoli part of the vegetable not the stem. It was so chewy you couldn’t eat it. The salad was beautiful, but the peas truly tasted like they weren’t cooked at all and I get the whole al dente thing, but this was just a little over the top . The Somalia was excellent recommended a bottle of wine. That was wonderful. He was great. The servers were wonderful. The Iberico pork was outstanding.

Everything was perfect!!! The location of our table was wonderful....in front of the fireplace. The food was excellent. Great job, Chef Sergio! The service was outstanding. We always enjoy dining at Avant.

Celebrated our birthdays and Blaine, our waiter, made our dining experience special. We chose for an appetizer the French Camembert Cheese which was Amazing. grimaud farms aged duck breast Hidden rose beet salad Crème brûlée for dessert Highly recommend for a great all around dining experience.

We stop in the bar somewhat often but have never been down the steps to the restaurant for anything. This was our first time and all I can say is wow! Food was fantastic, service impeccable all with quiet lively chatter and a musician that wasn’t too loud nor too soft. Such an excellent way to celebrate a birthday. We will now venture ‘down the steps’ more often!! Thank you!

Amazing champagne brunch! Servers were on top of it, my glass was literally never half empty because they were so attentive. The food was delicious, overall fantastic and will definitely return.

The Iberico Pork Secreto was amazing! We had a wonderful dining experience and the AVANT staff was on point. Good pour on the alcohol and I recommend the broccoli rabe.

My Wife and I celebrated our Anniversary dinner here. First I must say the staff was totally friendly and outstanding. The service was extremely good and the food was over the top great. I chose the Beef Wellington and my wife had the Pork. So good. Our server Amanda was the best ever, totally on her game to make this night special for us. We will definitely be back.

Food was good. Had the striploin. Potato was cold. Flavors were good but nothing spectaular. Dessert was the cheesecake..very creative and tasty. Recommend that.

Tried this restaurant on a short trip to San Diego. Only service complaint is that it took about 40 minutes from seating to having the first dish arrive. Had the following. Scores are out of 10. 1. Parker House Roll - 7/10. I really don't know what they are supposed to taste like, but have seen them on a few menus in San Diego so thought I would try it. The top of the roll had a nice crispiness and flavor. The interior of the roll was a little dense, but maybe that's what it is supposed to be. And it really is just ONE roll. It was large, but a bit pricey ($10) for one roll. 2. Kanpachi Crudo - 0/10. This is labeled as a "crudo" but it was smoked or something. Not a good flavor at all. 3. Raviolo - 10/10. Yummy! exactly as described with nice shavings of truffle. 4. Duck Breast - 9/10. Perfect except slightly overcooked. 5. Whole Roasted Branzino - 10/10. Just as described and delicious.
