The service was top-notch, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made excellent recommendations and ensured our glasses were never empty. They even surprised us with a complimentary dessert for the birthday celebration, which was a delightful touch.

We went for Sunday brunch buffet and the staff and ambience was delightful, and for the price we had high hopes for the food. We didn't have a table with a view but could see out, and it was really lovely. Our server was attentive and helpful with whatever we needed, and very friendly. However, the food wasn't that good. Some of the food was a bit bland and the worst part was that most of the food was cold. Having the crab ice cold didn't help the butter that was only room temp melted, which caused the butter to solidify quickly, quite a shock on that first bite. The champagne was very dry and orange juice didn't help, though I understand that that is usually the case when champagne is included, it tends to not be on the sweeter side. I wouldn't recommend for the full price, and barely with the travelzoo having to pay tax and tip on top of that price. With all this being said my favorite was the Lobster Mac and Cheese, and the breakfast sausages that we both loved, and were the only things that were warm to eat. We really expected more for this price.

Love this brunch. They have multiple tables with a variety of options. For breakfast people: scrambled eggs, bacon, pork sausage, chicken sausage and potatoes, omelette bar and waffle bar. For lunch people: chicken fricasse, short rib, marscapone mashed potatoes, rainbow trout, asparagus, broccolini, salad bar. For seafood lovers: crab claws, sushi, shrimp cocktail, melted butter, cocktail sauce, poke bowls. Bottomless Chandon. How can you go wrong?

Pleasant surroundings with great food. Good service. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of food, atmosphere and service. The sunset was a little bright just prior to the sun dipping below the horizon and the shade was not able to dim the light. Also initially the air conditioning was on and the vent blew air directly on my head. I'm not too particular about temperature (unlike my wife), but had she been in my seat we certainly would have had to move. Just an FYI I'd highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion or just a date night.

Hostess was not too congenial and she sat us by the stairs on aisle so there were diners coming in and out to get to food. We were 4 females, myself and 3 daughters. Mature. That’s typical for women dining out. Not a good look for Rancho Bernardo Inn.

We were not served our main course until an hour and a half had passed. The table we were given was blinded by the sun after time passed.. This should have been anticipated by staff and seated in a more comfortable table. The food not very good a Mexican main dish was nowhere near authentic All very disappointing as we were looking for a place we would regularly visit

Busy Mother’s Day when we arrived at 1:30. Time between courses too long. Kids items were too fancy for their taste. Suggest putting toppings on the side for kids. First course pastries were excellent. Lox and baguette was excellent. Wagyu steak very good. Crab was good but not very large serving. Brown butter cake very good.

Attended a Mother's Day prix fixed menu for $110.00 per person. Our reservations were at 12:00 noon and we didn't leave until 3pm because the service was so poor. Presentation of food was nice but restaurant service and quality of food was average.

We went to Avant for Mother's Day Brunch. While it did take a little bit to get the courses, it was more than worth the wait! The brunch was a special menu, but even in our previous visits, Avant does not disappoint! Julio was our server and was phenomenal! Great experience!

Great food, great service, great ambiance! Although a bit pricey it’s worth it for special occasions!!! Very much e joyed Julio our server too! He was very attentive and kept the bubbles coming!!
