Austin's Ale House is a Bar and Restaurant in the Kew Gardens area of Queens, New York. It has an expansive dining area with a large mahogany bar, a comfortable lounge with a fireplace and a casual dining room. An outdoor patio is available in the warmer months. This was a last min Mothers Day Dinner and it definitely was well worth it. Our original plans got screwed and we called Austin’s and they said they could accommodate our large party right away EVEN THO WE WERE 40mins AWAY! That was perfect. Great ambiance, food and service was just the perfect setting for our dinner. The owner was very polite and his hospitality is unmatched. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. 10 out of 10 👌🏽

In general, I’m not a fan of this restaurant, but its brunch experience was super. I’d go back but only for brunch.

Food was very good although some of it not served hot enough...(soup, onion rings). We sent back to our satisfaction. Glad it looked very busy. I always enjoy coming here.

A little disappointing this trip. Salmon special with aoili was meh. Last time I had a cajun salmon that was much much better. Maybe it was prepared broiled instead of pan fried? Dessert (gooey chocolate chip cookie) was very plain tasting and the ice cream that went along with it was also missing any taste. Buffalo Quesadilla appetizer was much better. Probably just an off night. Although I do think preparation of salmon in a pan takes away alot of taste.

First time there. The service was excellent and friendly. Food quality was a real pleasant surprise. Much better variety and very nicely prepared and served. The raw clams and oysters were fresh and large. The shell steak was really good. The veggie burger was good if you want VG options. There are others as well as GF. I'll go back. The only challenge is parking. It's tough in Forest Hills. Uber or Lyft instead

Returned here for the 2nd time. I wish this place was closer to my house. A 2nd time, consistently excellent food. A shared plate of chicken quesadillas couldn't have been better. My side Caesar salad was authentic and outstanding ... AND ... large enough to be a regular salad (I took half home). I ordered the blackened Salmon special. Cooked perfectly, and outstanding. REAL blackened seasoning that had a kick to it blended with a moist inside that wasn't undercooked. Just excellent.

Went there with a friend and she had the Austin burger which was great and I had the French Dip Supreme sandwich which was big and delicious, but it can be shared with 2 people.

I reserved an outdoor table for a group of 4-5 and it was great. One of the guests had asked for a shadier area because we were with an elderly man but was told by the hostess that those tables were reserved...My sister-in-law said to her, "We reserved a table outside too" but were given a table in the middle of the floor under direct sunlight. There were other tables available as well. It was really fine until 3/4's the way through brunch when the sun got really hot and sweat was dripping down my face and neck. Where was the ice water? I understand that Brunch time is hectic but someone should be walking around with pitcher of ice water and coffee pot for refills.
