We love Auska , so much we always have the Asuka roll ! so tasty We asked the waiter for a recommendation of sake, they never have given us a bad bottle. We prefer the dry cold sake. The eel is always delicious, the happy spider roll was tasty maybe a little too much sauce this time, not that it was bad none was left. I can always depend on my salmon skin hand roll, one of the better ones downtown.

notes-- --menu prices on open table website are dated, understated by 30-40%, still reasonable though. --Ordering Chef's sashimi for $37 is a mistake, at least for me. specifically requested not to be adventurous in selection. Avoided uni but got assortment of large salmon roe, squid, scallop, shrimp and other mystery fish items that were sticky textured globs and/or too fishy. Maybe it was just a bad selection for average sushi eater. the rolls were nothing special but fine (got california and Chelsea). --Old fashioned special at $13 sounded great, but over/mis flavored (cinnamon syrup?) and would not recommend, stick w. $6 12 oz sopporo drafts --Would like to score higher (and prob would with diff selection) but the main dish was a downer, sorry.

The sushi was phenomenal and the service was excellent. Our only hesitation was that some of the rolls seemed to have filler rather than exclusively what was ordered. For example, the spicy scallop roll had scallop chopped up and mixed with something else. It was still good but slightly disappointing. However, the sushi and sashimi in general was phenomenal. We wouldn’t hesitate to go back.
