Thr ambiance was wonderful and our server, Sam was great. She was informative and attentive, the appetizer was excellent and the rest of thd meal was enjoyable. We definitely recommend this place and will hopefully return.

Food was amazing as always! I had the duck and my husband had the tuna special. Our meal was plated beautifully and was delicious. Our server Rachel was wonderful.

Absolutely stunning food, beautifully presented and locally sourced. The ambience is charming, especially in the pub area, and there are private rooms and large tables available for parties. Can definitely recommend.

The place was warm, we asked and the ac was on the fritz. Food - appetizers were amazing, crab cakes and artichokes. Duck was slightly over but still amazing Special - beans were under and it said was served with bacon and it wasn’t on the plate Salmon - everything was AMAZING

Nice varied menu for food and drink (wines and cocktails). Excellent service. A pleasant atmosphere in the dining room by the front window. Ashten's has 3 different areas (plus a party room). The dining room is white table cloth, the bar has bar and couch seating and the outdoor tables are on the front sidewalk. All are fun, just depends on your mood.

We were greeted at the door and taken to our seats. Courteous and efficient table service throughout the meal. Highly recommend the Hibiscus Gin Fizz! Appetizers and entrees were fresh, served at the correct temperature and DELICIOUS!

The food was good but pricy. Our waitress never refilled our water despite walking by and looking at the empty glasses. She never came back after we got our food. She asked if we wanted dessert and never brought the menu. We had to get up to ask for the check because she never returned. The outdoor seating is on the sidewalk so we had to move our legs every time someone walked by.

We the Reuben egg rolls & Portobello fries for appetizers. Then we split the Yellow Fin Tuna Poke Bowl Special for our main course. Food was out of this world! Service was outstanding!

We were looking for a special place for an early dinner celebrating our anniversary Since was Sunday we were concerned about choices and were pleasantly surprised that Ashten’s opened for dinner at 5PM Sunday’s It was a great night as they welcomed our party recognizing the event and seated us promptly Of course we started with their well recognized Reuben egg rolls and and added stuffed avocado poppers and both terrific We ordered a range of dinners from crab cakes to pasta to lamb special to dinner salad and all both very good and served appropriately to allow appetizers but not too long All this was followed by a couple of pieces of chocolate cake to share All in all a great night from service to food to ambiance

Everything was great. The staff was well aware of my wife's birthday and even brought the dessert with a candle. The teamwork was phenomenal. Our waitress was super polite and a great listener. Adam was great as well. There was only one small problem. There were a few ants at our table. I still paid for the meal because it was delicious, but the next customer may ask for a free meal. It's definitely one of favorite restaurants to eat at and celebrate special occasions. Miguel

I love the crispy duck at Ashten's. The night we were there a table full of corporate golfers raised the noise level a bit over what I normally experience there. Also I'm more partial to horse people and those that associate with horse people. Ashten's is one of the treasures of Southern Pines

Excellent as always. Had the evening’s special’s (Asparagus appetizer, Soft shell crab entree, and banana baked Alaska dessert) and they were all great. Glad we decided on last minute plans to visit tonight. Can’t go wait for the next special.

We absolutely love Ashten's. Food and service are always incredible. The bar area is our favorite place to dine. Low, dim lighting creates a calm and romantic atmosphere and sets the mood for an intimate and comfortable prelude to culinary delight. This is, and will always be, our special place. I've dined at Ashtens many times since moving to the area 14 years ago and last night was the first disappointing meal I had there. I ordered the fish special and it was so tough, I couldn't cut it with a knife. I suspect it was very undercooked although the restaurant was dark and it was hard to see. I explained the situation to our waitress and asked her to sub the fish with salmon which is on the menu while keeping the original plate and vegetables which were delicious. She handled the situation like a pro, providing the alternative promptly. The salmon was delicious but it too was undercooked in parts. Rather than saying anything, I ate around it. I had plenty of food and mistakes happen so I saw no reason to make a scene. Our friends and tablemates were shocked that I ate any of it because they could see it was undercooked. This experience will not prevent me from going back as it's one of the best restaurants in town. However, it's doubtful I'll order fish again.

The winter food menu was great- I got the pork shank (it was slightly overcooked) but still great. My husband got the steak. It was definitely the highlight. The Brussel sprouts were amazing! Great meal!

Perfect in so many ways, exceptional food, mellow and sophisticated decor, just a hint of music in the background and the clattering of glasses and conversations. My husband had a half duck and I chose the pork shanks, both meals were outstanding. Crispy skin on the duck, flavorful sauce, it was a perfectly harmonious dish. Likewise, the pork shanks were tender and cooked perfectly with just the right sauce and flavor balance well complimented with root vegetables, mashed potatoes and collard greens. 10/10, we found our new special occasion restaurant in Moore County.
