    Love this place. My secret getaway in the city. I have been coming to this restaurant since my kids were young so it’s probably two decades and I still love it every day even more.

    My kids have food allergies and our waitress Eneida works wonders with the kitchen staff to adjust the kids menu for them. The fruit cup, grilled chicken and the sobert taste and look great. Brunch menu is wonderful. We are repeat customers. Highly recommended.

    It would’ve been nice to know they charge TWO $22.80 fees to sit in the igloo….. one experience fee and one additional service fee. So FYI, if you sit in an igloo outside they want another $45.6

    The quirky atmosphere of the Art Bar has one serious drawback. The metal chairs are so uncomfortable I had to move off mine onto the banquette across the table. And that wasn't much better. The food was quite good and plentiful, but it was hard to enjoy when subjected to a very hard bottom! Replace the seating in the restaurant and it will become acceptable.

    Good Evening Herbert, I am sorry that you were unable to fully enjoy your experience with us due to our hard metal chairs and soft banquettes. Should you visit us again, please ask our greeting staff for assistance. Although we do not have pillows, we have some very plush blankets that will provide relief. We are scheduled for a major renovation, but that will not take place until next winter. Best, Justin.

    Dining in an "igloo" was fun; nice to have our own, cozy, dining area. They charge an extra 20% for the "igloo experience", which we thought was worth it. However, we didn't expect that we'd have to pay sales tax on that amount. (This struck us as overreach.)

    There is a 20% fee to be in the igloo and a 20% gratuity added. Plus a time limit. Plus the service in the igloo is quite slow and you just sort of wait for them to come back out.

    We booked an igloo for a wedding anniversary celebration - a wedding that had happened at the Sonesta over 20 years ago that day. There were 6 in our party (2 couples and 2 kids), the res notes said we were celebrating an anniversary and both of the couples who were in the party had been married at the Sonesta. You could not have had a more loyal dinner party. We were informed that there would be a 20% experience fee when we arrived. We were led to the furthest igloo which had folding chairs and not a single bit of cool lighting like the others. Our food was delivered on a tray with no plate covers on a 20 degree night. We had 3 apps, 3 soups and 6 entrees plus cocktails. The steaks were tasty - everything else was cold. One ordered Pepsi - it was flat and then we were told they were "officially out of Pepsi." 5 entrees came - we were told that 1 was dropped on the floor and we waited for 20 minutes for its replacement. An app was sent back because it was cold and came out again - COLD. Do not fall for the igloo - 20% was added for a disappointing non-experience.

    The waiter was great. The food took more then an hour to come out which was difficult having small children. The food was nothing special, I was pretty disappointed with my lobster roll, especially considering the price. The igloo was lovely. The cocktails were delicious.

    We ate outside in the "igloos" which was a fun experience with a beautiful view of the nighttime skyline. Unfortunately, our waiter came by very infrequently so we spent a lot of time waiting to place our next order and in fact after drinks and apps the time limit of 90 minutes they enforce was up and we were unable to order mains. The food (I guess I am speaking of the apps, which was all we had) was pretty uninspired I have to say (overly battered calamari was somewhat tasteless) and the drinks weren't much better

    This place looks a lot better online than in person. Restaurant is inside hotel, which smells like disinfectant. Waiter showed little attention, no drink menus, side salad came 15 mins after meal was served without dressing (asked for it, showed up another 15 mins later), showed up with 4 desserts when we asked for 2. Prices high for mediocre food - overdone burgers and likely bagged salads.

    it was a nice gathering for our group. There was only one server, no bartender, due to storm. But in general, everyone enjoyed it. Our server tried to do everything to make it enjoyable.

    This is not the place you want to go for Thanksgiving. We were a small party of 3 and found that the kitchen was clearly overwhelmed by the large family party in the event room. Our waiter did the best he could under the circumstances. Our ginger pumpkin soup came promptly and was very good. And then we waited and waited and waited. As the menu card on the table said 'family style' we had expected that dishes of the various items we mentioned to the waiter would be arriving. But what came were three plates already loaded but with the things we didn't want (green bean casserole and sweet potatoes). Two plates were missing stuffing and all had no roasted brussel sprouts. The manager came and talked to us and then brought out a separate menu that we had not been shown at all (which did not have the sprouts). I showed him the table card. Eventually, we got dishes of stuffing and sprouts. Our bill was adjusted but we won't go back.

    Food was so bland and overpriced, all I wanted to do was pay the bill and leave. I had such high hopes for this place as I went for my anniversary, but I was so disappointed we went to find food from some local CVS because of how bad the steak and salmon we ordered was. Not at all worth the $100+ we paid. Very very disappointed

    Our server was wonderful. We sat on the patio and celebrated a bachelorette party. She was there anytime we needed something and was so kind to us. Food took a little while coming from the kitchen, but we were there to relax and enjoy the day so it didn’t both us. Patio has beautiful views. Prices are moderate and the food was great.

    My dining friend had overcooked mini BLT, although the restaurant did comp her meal. My eggs benedict were excellent.

    Our waitress was warm and friendly, altogether EXCELLENT! Ambience very special with view of river and Boston skyline. Food exciting and delicious. Maybe add some celery to the lobster roll for a bit of crunch. Art bar is a place for celebratory dining, and I will continue to bring friends and family. Thank you.

    I simply loved all the gluten free options. The menu had a lot to select from. Although I normally have a preference for seafood, the filet mignon dinner at $32 was a special and a great deal. I was able to omit the frites and order a side caesar instead. I would go back if I'm in the area. The outside seating area has a beautiful view of the Charles and is covered.

    I Was not impressed by the food at all, very bland even with adding the salt and pepper did not taste like anything. I got the salmon and It was goey and fish shouldnt be goey like it was, I couldn’t even eat it. The rice it came with was soggy and the sauce they gave me to water down the rice. Because that’s what it did just water it down more. It was a horrible horrible dish. My husband got the steak with yucca fries. The steak again bland and not cooked the way he wanted. The yucca fries tasted really really old and hard. The most ok part of the dish was the sauce that was suppose to be put on the steak but that even couldn’t save the food. Honestly he’s not even that hard of a critic, easier to please with food as long as it’s edible and he wasn’t happy. He didn’t even eat the whole meal. The only part that was decent was our waitress but besides that I’d have to say I wouldn’t make it a goal to visit again not even to give it another chance. My hubbys exact words were they couldn’t pay him to go back. So yeah not at all impressed which is sad because we were looking forward to it. Either way it’s a solid no for us.

    After making reservations we stopped by to make sure they could sit us outside and they said no problem. When we arrived they told us there was no outside table available. We had to wait a long time. When we order they mixed up our drink order and my wife’s dinner arrived 15 minutes before my dinner. The food was decent, nothing great. The service is very bad and the supervisor was unable to make a decision. Would not return

    Food was super disappointing especially for the price and menu. Drinks were just awful. Burger super overcooked. Caesar salad meh. Had a lot of potential and just wasn’t good. Also they don’t take reservations booked online/through open table lol

    This is a neighborhood restaurant on the water. We eat there regularly with friends. The menu is excellent, though not enormous. Bar and wine selections are numerous. Service is always friendly and efficient. Because this is part of a large hotel that caters to business, sometimes the noise level is high.

    I think the food is average, but I love the ambiance. This was my 2nd time being there. The service was slow, but we were warned for that as it was on a father's day. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

    We waited an hour for our food and then simply left because our waitress had only checked on us once and our food was nowhere in site. I’ve never had a more negative dining experience than this.
