Depuis 1980, l'Anton & Michel est reconnu pour sa véritable excellence dans l'art de la gastronomie. Suite au réaménagement intérieur complet réalisé en 2013, il dispose d'un ensemble d'ouvrages en pierres et d'un salon agrandi. Les baies vitrées offrent une vue à couper le souffle sur la Cour des Fontaines. Le magazine Zagat Survey dit de ce restaurant qu'il est un « hymne à l'élégance immuable des restaurants de Carmel ». Avec les changements et les touches contemporaines apportés aux menus, le service parfait à table et les spectaculaires desserts flambés restent toujours à l'honneur. Comme cité dans le Wine Spectator, l'Anton & Michel est « probablement la meilleure expérience culinaire proposée dans le centre-ville de Carmel-by-the-Sea ».

                                                        Seafood selections were standouts: Seafood fricassee, shrimp salad, ahi tuna with wonton crisps. Attentive service. Be aware that they add a significant charge for credit card transactions, which we hadn’t seen in prior visits.

                                                        One of our favorite places in Carmel, my wife loves their duck, I tend to vary between fish or short ribs and often times the French Onion Soup. This night started with the bisque then the Branzzino, both were delicious. We “ALWAYS” finish with the Cherries Jubilee and it did not disappoint. During warmer days or evenings we sit on the patio, but love the tables for two along the back window. (As an FYI, their bar and happy hour are wonderful, love the bar menu.)

                                                        Excellent service. The receptionist was outstanding in welcoming us and ensuring we had the right table for our evening. She made our night perfect! Thank you.

                                                        Excellent food and service. Felt very fine dining, but comfortable. Quiet, but not so much that you felt like you couldn’t talk. Able to chat with diners close to us as well. Our server made the meal- she is amazing. Will be back when we’re down in the area

                                                        Simply perfect. Service and food are consistently excellent. Year after year, we are continuously impressed. We flew from Arizona just to come for lunch at Anton & Michel. Very few restaurants meet this standard. Exceptional.

                                                        The service was very attentive and the food was outstanding! We both had the bone-in pork chops and they were cooked perfectly! One of our favorite places to eat in Carmel.

                                                        We had a lovely dinner at Anton & Michel Restaurant. It was busy night for them but despite the very busy staff and full dining room, the food was amazingly well done. We really enjoyed our salad, my mother’s mojito was wonderful. We had the short ribs which were quite yummy and so tender. We were provided a comped Bananas Foster that was amazing! Our waiter and the host were so kind, friendly and on point in what must have been a wildly busy night for them. Would totally eat here again.

                                                        A wonderful dining experience in every way. The best atmosphere in Carmel, attention staff and delicious delightful food. A must dine restaurant on your vacation or for any occasion. We cannot give it enough stars. Sheila K

                                                        We went for our 10 year anniversary. Our waitress came to table after 10 minutes of us sitting down and asked what we would like to drink, we asked for a drink menu. 15 minutes later she came back and asked what we would like to drink and we said we still needed the drink menu still. Fast forward we ordered salads for appetizers and she asked if we would like fresh ground pepper… we said yes but she never came back with it…. I ordered a dirty martini and it came straight up….. fast forward again order filet and tuna and she never asked or checked in on how our entrees were….. 2 other tables nearby were celebrating their anniversary and received complementary desserts in celebration, we did not…. $200 bill later and that’s the service we received was terrible. I have been in the service industry for 10 years and was extremely disappointed
