Steak tasted like it’s been cooked in ashes, limp fries, trout ok. I’ve eaten there 100 times and this time was very disappointing

My wife and I love Anise and have been dining there for years, it’s one of our favorite restaurants in Atlanta. Unfortunately we decided to celebrate our anniversary this year at Anise it happens to have fallen on Mother’s Day. The restaurant was very busy as you can imagine and this dining experience fell far short of our usual evening there. We were seated upon arrival had drinks and our starters arrived quickly,. The main courses on the other hand took over an hour to arrive even after our server checked with us twice. The food when it did arrive was great as always and some of our drinks were removed from our bill. The server also brought us two glasses of bubbles for our patience and long delay. We will return to Anise many times but most likely not on holidays.

Not usually a fan of buffets but it was Mother’s Day and Anis was quite busy. However, the staff was terrific and very personable and the food was terrific as it always is. Well done, Anis!

I had made a reservation to take my mother out for dinner the day before Mother’s Day since this was one of my favorite restaurants in Atlanta, they were always very attentive, very good food and service, and overall just great vibes and good price. But this time it was really bad. The place was packed, even though I had a reservation, we got crammed into a tiny table, the servers were running back and forth and they never got around to even refilling our water. We wanted to have a nice dinner but we couldn’t even talk because of how loud it was. I had the duck confit and it was just bad all around. Food, service, and atmosphere were all so poor that I don’t think that I will go back even though I have been many times over the last two years. There has been a little bit of a decline, but I think this huge step down is the last straw.

We used to come here a lot for girlfriend brunches. But forgot how amazing they are for dinners too. And the servers are kind and friendly. Buckhead can struggle with that with the new places. Anis is back in our regular spot to dine. Amazing!!! You feel like you are tucked away from the city for a breather.

We had an early reservation- as the restaurant started to fill, I couldn't hear the person I was with. It took a long time to be checked out. No complaints about the service or the food, was excellent!

Croque monsieur delicious, house-made chips less so, would have preferred fruit or greens. Outstanding service, however — pleasant, prompt, attentive. And great to have fresh air in covered porch search.

Great restaurant with perfect date night ambiance. Food choices are amazing. Wine choices are plentiful. The staff was ever-present for any needs. They did try to seat us at a ridiculously small and rickety table, which must be replaced immediately. The table looks very out of place for such a fine restaurant. I have already recommended Anis to many friends.

Outstanding Quality of Food. Everything was top notch, starting with the Mussels in wonderful garlic sauce, fresh French bread (worth every cent of the $5), crab cakes, chicken and desserts (profiteroles are incredible). Excellent wine list, impressive French whites by the glass. And our service was wonderful too —Joseph a very professional, friendly and helpful waiter, he has tremendous menu suggestions.

Food was excellent. I ordered a cup of the tomato basil soup and the lamb shank in stewed lentils and baby carrots. Thought I was actually back in by France. Sat indoors, and the ambience and noise level were perfect.
