Amuse is a seasonal, farm to table driven restaurant, located on the third floor of the museum. Whether you are dining in our main dining room, full-service bar, or our private dining room, you will be able to take in sweeping views of the Robins Sculpture Garden and the museum’s Cochrane Atrium. Our team works diligently to provide a menu that is directly inspired by the art-filled surroundings, current exhibitions, and seasonality while also carefully selecting only the finest ingredients from local vendors, artisans, and farmers. Just a friendly reminder that the museum does not allow balloons, confetti, glitter, plants potted with soil, and candles with open flames. If a date and time you seek for a reservation appears to be full, please give us a call so we can see what other times might be available.

Split carrot salad for appetizer was excellent. Shrimp dinner was very good. Beef dinner was poor....grisel hard to chew and raw.

One of the most beautiful restaurants in Richmond, with a breathtaking sunset view over treetops. Their menu is now inspired by the current "Samurai" exhibit and it is delicious and innovative. The tiramisu is a must-have! The gulf shrimp were some of the bebst shrimp I've ever had. The cocktails are delightful, too, and very creative. Service was excellent. Also, I love that my dining partner and I could talk in normal voices and hear each other.

We had a reservation for four people, but you kindly let a fifth person join. The food and service were excellent, and we had a wonderful time after seeing the Japanese armor and other installations. Thanks very much.

Varied and creative menu, very nice staff. You can’t go wrong at lunch or dinner. While the Samurai exhibit is on, the menu is influenced by Japanese foods and flavors and is excellent. It is one of the few restaurants that indicate “gf, v or df” by every item. We love it year-round.

The food was great and matched the theme of the current special exhibition, Samurai Armor from the Collection of Ann and Gabriel Barbier-Mueller. The service was great from the host stand to the end of our meal and the view was wonderful as always.

As always the food was delicious & the service impeccable. The restaurant was very quiet on this visit, which was perfect after an extremely long day! I am always very satisfied & relaxed after a meal at Amuse.
