Our Schoolcraft College Culinary students look forward to serving you the refined dining excellence you have come to expect, in our newly renovated upscale casual atmosphere! The American Harvest offers an à la carte menu which changes daily, offering freshly baked breads, gourmet soups, delicious salads, creative entrees, vegan options and beautiful desserts. Reservations will be available on most Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, at 11:45am and 12 noon. The American Harvest International Dinner Buffets are back, in our newly renovated upscale casual atmosphere! Reservations for our International Dinner Buffets are available on select Wednesday and Thursday evenings, with guest seatings at 5:30pm, 5:45pm, and 6:00pm. We've only been able to obtain reservations for their lunch programs...nearly impossible to do so for their dinner programs as we've been trying the past 2 years for any of their dates and unable to secure a reservation!!!

We've been coming to American Harvest for years (with the exception of COVID-19 time). Always excellent. The varying food choices are superb and palate-pleasing. The atmosphere is fine and conducive to good conversation. We never miss the dessert bar.

Our group dined during the last week of the semester at The American Harvest restaurant. As in the past, everyone enjoyed the salads and entrees offered. Three in our party were delighted with the halibut. The fourth enjoyed a tenderloin version of beef stroganoff. Deserts were equally delicious. I would recommend always purchasing a desserts whether you enjoy it in the restaurant or take it home. We will miss the restaurant but will be sure to plan a visit or two during the Fall 2024 semester.

We enjoyed our meals, as always, and we had a very interesting server (Verna???). It will be nice when it's not so difficult to secure a reservation, as we'd like to come more often.

I hadn't been there in some time but it was as wonderful as I remembered. Great choice on the menu, food was excellent and the service was great

Reserving via Open Table is worse than buying concert tickets. The only real solution is to have more tables, more seating times, and more days.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the American Harvest lunch experience, but I wanted to check it out. I was surprised by the level of professionalism across the board at the school restaurant. My server was delightful, the food was really good, and the space was clean and modern. We are planning to go back for the dinner experience soon.

This time the service was very nice and attentive. Jessica was entirely pleasant and smiled a lot. The food was tasty and looked pleasing. I have note that the pricing is a bit too high for the main dish. Good choice of deserts.

The dining experience at American Harvest is unique because the culinary students at Schoolcraft College are unique! Their attention to details of serving the table, preparing the food, and plating the desserts made us feel so special. The desserts are works of art!

Overall very nice! The portions, I have to say, are getting smaller… the salmon pie appetizer was very nice though. A bit confused about the dessert taste - crème brûlée trio looked very nice. Ginger and vanilla- very appealing, great flavor but definitely over-sweetened. The chocolate was my last one - and was definitely under on the sugar side. If there was a particular thought behind that - not sure. But looked stunning!

For our first time there, we very much enjoyed the food, the staff and the evening. Buffet style with some outstanding flavors, some good and a few that needed a little more work. We enjoyed talking to a couple of the chefs at table side, and definitely will be back and try different international cuisine. Thank You J & L

First time back since the VistaTech renovation. The restaurant is very elegant and spacious inside. Tables covered in white linen. The atmosphere is fine dining from the moment you arrive at the door! Our waiter Aidan did a great job serving us during lunch. My husband and I had beef tenderloin with fancy potatoes and asparagus! For dessert we ordered chocolate torte and cherry pie with ice cream. Hoping to get another reservation soon! Schoolcraft does an amazing job with the culinary arts program!

We were happy to experience American Harvest. The students who served us were fantastic! We were impressed by the food as well, especially considering the rotating menu and student chefs. We wished that the lighting was a bit more dim to make for a nicer ambiance, but that is a minor suggestion.

The menu changes everyday which makes this a great adventure. We had aiden as a waiter and he did a great job helping us make menu choices. The geek salad was delicious and the skirt steak was cooked to perfection. Prices are reasonable. The service was top notch. Aiden was very attentive. The bread with two different types of butter was a great starter. The best marketing plan is to have you walk by the desert table before being seated. It worked. We all had dessert despite being satisfied with our meals. Great service. Good portions . Appropriate prices. Can’t beat it. Have the managers come around and check on everything was great. They were genuinely invested in the place. I felt welcome. I wish the reservations didn’t fill up so fast however that’s an indication of how great this place is.

We had an excellent lunch at the American Harvest. The gumbo soup was delicious. My husband had the squab and I had the roast skirt steak. Both were cooked perfectly and looked and tasted great. For dessert he had the bananas foster cooked table side and I had the chocolate passion fruit. Yum!! Perfect dining experience. One of favorite places to dine!

The food is outstanding and creative. These students really put their hearts and souls into the presentation and the quality of the food. It makes for a fun and unique experience dining out. Reservations are tough to get so if you can find a date open grab it, it'll be gone soon!

This was my first time having dinner at American Harvest, and it was a phenomenal experience. I booked in celebration of my birthday and it was truly magical. The food was amazing and everything was delicious. Has a great time with my mom and we both left satisfied and excited to come back.

First bad experience. Food is not good. Soup cold. Service was poor. Usually a nice place to eat so I hope it's a one-off.

My saffron corn chowder was very tasty. My friend loved her salad which included goat cheese, grapes, pears. My friend's meatloaf and my broccoli were salty. The breads were all delicious. Desserts (bread pudding, creme brulee, bananas foster) were all very good.

The service was a bit disorganized. The overall quality of served dishes are very good. the food appears quite pleasing. I wish they'd order more creative appetizers to start with.
