The service was top shelf, easily the best I’ve experienced in Atlanta (the local restaurant groups really have to reinforce customer service standards..), drinks and starters were imaginative and delightful. Main courses were really average, we felt like we were given a bait and switch situation given the starters and cocktails. Moral of this story, focus on starters and drinks, save 50% of the costs and hopefully avoid cackling, intoxicated groups letting their hair down during your time in the restaurant.

Slow service as they seemed very overwhelmed with many large reservation groups when we visited. But given that they are located Ina hotel district in Atlanta, I would think that should be common. But on the positive, the staff seemed to be trying to overcome the slow service and were kind enough to reflect their concern for us in discount of our charges. The staff remained courteous and the food was very good.

Ordered drinks and guac. Server never came back to take our order. Sat for 15 minutes after finishing those before deciding to pay our bill and go elsewhere.

Friend in town for a meeting she was staying at the Ritz Carlton downtown and the perfect place for dinner after her arrival was at Alma Cosina. The food is always on point. I had the pork chop. She had the tacos and my daughter had the cod all of which were absolutely wonderful, look forward to my next visit

Convenient location, friendly waiter. The crispy Baja tacos I ordered were heavy on the cilantro - it was basically a side salad or cilantro, way too much salsa verde, and the fish wasn’t as crispy as I’d have expected. Drinks were yummy although pricey for what you got. We got an appetizer that was really good - a chorizo dip. Overall, It was fine for an easy dinner after traveling all day. I wouldn’t go there again though

My Margareta was very good, and the tortilla chips were unique as they were round corn tortilla fried. Salsa was tasty but no homemade hot salsas. My carnival tacos tasted ok, but my plate, which included cilantro rice and black beans, was served at room temperature. My food was sent back, and came back rearranged on my plate at the same temperature.Sorry, Mexican food always needs to be served hot!

Atlanta over 25 years this was the first time I visited this restaurant. I heard so much about it, so I thought it would be a good idea to take my dad as he was visiting. The location is perfectly situated downtown. The service from the hostess and our waiter was absolutely top-notch. Our waiter was extremely attentive, with a pleasant demeanor and easy-going service style that we appreciate it. The ambience was casual and perfect for the relaxed dining experience we were looking for. Unfortunately, the food did not match the service and the environment. I will say that the appetizers were really good. We had the scallops and the empanadas. However, our main dishes, the chicken Mole and baked half chicken very bland. Not seasoned well at all. The mashed sweet plantains that came with the baked chicken did not work with his dish at all in my opinion. We ended up ordering rice and beans to replace the plantains. We were also disappointed with the rice and beans. The taste was a bit off. It appeared to be an attempt at a lime rice, but it just didn’t work. In short, we lived love the service. We loved the ambience. The food just didn’t do it for us.

Super friendly, and often funny staff that strived to ensure we had a great meal. The menu provides a good offering of small plates, sides and mains that you can't go wrong with. The churro ice cream sandwich was the Golpe de gracia!

What a nice place! We went to meet our daughter and her family and to celebrate our anniverssry. Our waiter was amazing acomodating the needs if our 1 yesr old grandson. I looove the empanadas and my carnitas tacos were delicious. The cocktail were incredible too! We will definately come back next time we’re in Atlanta

Felt like we were sitting in a hotel lobby, guess we were. Beef tederloins were a bit tough and chewy. Guac was good, and empanadas were kind of tiny and cooked heavy.

The food was excellent! We had someone joins us at the last minute and the servers easily accommodated our party. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Granted, it was on a Sunday and maybe not as busy as other times, but I wouldn’t hesitate to go back!

The food and drinks were amazing. The Pork Pibil was excellent as was the chicken mole. Definitely one of the better restaurant meals my wife and I have had in a long while!

We ordered the very popular fried cheese. I’m at a loss as to why this is recommended by so many. I found it tasteless and unappetizing. My husband asked for a slight change in the cocktail that we ordered (use 1/2 mezcal and 1/2 tequila instead of straight tequila) and the up charge was $6 per drink! We got the trio of guacamole and the plain one was superior to either flavored one. The chicken mole was just fair.

Each staff member we encountered were friendly and warm. The bartender was our waitress as well and it was great to see them work as a Team and check on us while she was tied up. The cocktail menu is dominated by tequila and mezcal cocktails which I enjoy however I’d love to see some diversity in the flavors and execution of cocktails. Let’s get to food, the plantains were drenched in crema which was so unnecessary and overbearing. We could not enjoy the plantains. The ceviche was mostly radish, onions and not enough seafood whatsoever. Maybe 4 pieces of shrimp. The lamb belly tacos were AMAZING! I questioned why they don’t serve the lamb as a main entree I mean it’s that good! The tortilla fell apart so we had to eat our tacos with utensils which isn’t the worst thing…the lamb belly was TOP TIER. I would go back for the lamb if they were to make it an entree, other than that, the food wouldn’t be why I would come back to Alma.

The best part of our experience was our server. What a wonderful young man! He was very knowledgeable and made excellent suggestions. The food was good (although the pork chop and fish tacos were tiny) and the drinks delicious. All in all we had a great time.

The food was exceptional! This is now my favorite place to go! I picked it as a surprise date for my husband because he loves chicken mole but has had the hardest time finding a restaurant that serves it. We were over the top about the tastes of the food. We got the chicken mole, NY steak strip and the salsa guac sample platter. We couldn’t resist finishing our food! We will be back, and I will recommend this place to everyone I know who is looking for an amazing experience. Food, drinks, service, atmosphere- 100% amazing

Nice alternative to your pub food, chicken wing and burger spots in downtown Atlanta. Took work team there and had a great dinner. Most definitely recommend the FRIED CHIHUAHUA CHEESE (salsa verde, corn tortillas) served in a lava rock dish. So good we ordered two.

Service was terrible, our waiter took forever to greet us and didn’t come back to take our order after drinks and appetizer. She was also way too vocal about how hard her night was going. In fine dining, the customer should not be troubled with the waiter’s problems. Guacamole was delicious but hamachi was a tiny serving and a bit chewy. Citrus was overwhelming and ruined the dish. Ambience was great, loved the music. Wine was excellent too.

All guacomoles in the tasting were spiced, tasted the same but more importantly, the entrees were all Luke warm. The vegetarian paella was tasty but an underwhelming amount.
