Leur premier restaurant a ouvert ses portes à Castlefield (Manchester) en 2004 avec un objectif clair : offrir une cuisine de qualité à des clients locaux et à un prix raisonnable dans un espace moderne, élégant avec un service convivial sans prétention. C'est cette philosophie qui a permis à l'établissement de fidéliser de nombreux clients. Le menu peut être qualifié de britannique avec quelques classiques supplémentaires en provenance d'Italie et du monde entier. Le nouvel espace, qui sera créé à partir de l'ancien pub et restaurant New Ellesmere sur la East Lancashire Road, permettra d'ouvrir un espace moderne élégant pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 180 personnes et comportera également une terrasse extérieure pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 60 convives.

The Ellesmere Room located on the first floor, it is named after the cinema that occupied the site many years ago. The Ellesmere is a modern, design led space which can be used for anything from wedding ceremonies to christenings. It can accommodate up to 120 for dining to 200 for parties. It has its own dedicated entrance, private bar and a private heated and covered terrace. All our menus are designed and cooked by the chefs in albert’s, so you can rest assured the food will be as outstanding as our event space. Situated on the ground floor of our main restaurant, The Harold Riley room is perfect for private lunches or dinners or drinks receptions. The private dining room can accommodate up to 40 people and also features its own heated terrace which is the perfect alfresco area in which to enjoy pre-dinner drinks or to let the outside in during the summer months!

An evening to share with daughter and grand daughters. Staff were attentive and helpful. The food offer was of a high standard. As a celebration evening we could not have asked for more! Thank you, Alberts!

Beautiful food and great surroundings Service great but a discretionary service charge was added £5 + so I asked for this to be removed , this was done. Food a little pricey but was a treat.

We didn’t get to eat what we came for as the kitchen was flooded and all food orders were cancelled. Pizza was offered though eventually and they knocked off the first drinks from the bill. Wasn’t their fault but what can you do

We sat outside in the sunshine felt as though we were abroad food was served very nicely telling us about the menu and the food was presented very well

Lovely restaurant but it was very noisy outside on the terrace when we first arrived. Food was great however the original service was slow. Waited about 15 minutes for our drink order and another 10 minutes for the drinks. However, that said it was a very busy sunny Saturday. Food was lovely although I thought it was a bit overpriced. Staff were very friendly and the restaurant was lovely and clean. Would definitely visit again!

Excellent as always . Dad had fillet steak salad and bream . I had the focaccia and hens egg. Great service and no issues . We always enjoy here .

We had lunch at Albert's Worsley and the food was excellent and reasonably priced. The service was outstanding, Marcin, our waiter was very professional, friendly and helpful. Thank you Marcin.

We had the unfortunate experience of finding a live slug in one of our salads. The way this was handled was appalling. The manager took her time to come over to speak to us after we had alerted the waitress to the problem. The waitress handled the whole situation very professionally throughout. The manager seemed to suggest that had this happened outside she wouldn't have been surprised, which is a bit worrying. She said that in future the kitchen would wash the lettuce more thoroughly, so nothing more to worry about there! The 2 members of our party which were affected (the one with the slug and the one who had the same dish) were offered replacement meals free of charge, but there was no attempt to ensure that these were delivered quickly and we weren't kept informed as to how long this would be. As it took so long the other diner in our party had cold food due to the long wait. This should have been replaced also in our opinion. We were offered drinks while we waited by our waitress. When we asked for the bill they forgot to remove the meals which we had been told wouldn't be charged, showing how little attention they were paying to us, despite the horrific situation we had found ourselves in. This was very quickly remedied with the coffees also removed from the bill. However, the balance remaining was only around £40 and should also have been waived in our opinion. All in all, we appreciate that things happen but the way the situation was dealt with left a lot to be desired. We should have been given top priority to make up for our experience and we certainly weren't. We will not be returning.

We dine at Alberts on a regular basis and as the new special lunch menu had changed tried 2 of the new dishes. Both were the best by far of our lunches to date and we have never been disappointed in the past. The staff are all welcoming, pleasant and helpful, our cocktails were perfect and it was yet another pleasurable lunch date at our favourite restaurant.

Unfortunately, we just missed out by 15mins for the two courses offer for £14.95 . My Malayian chicken meal was very nice. However, my husband ordered the cheese pie meal which was a very small portion of chips, small amount of pea jui and the pie was tiny with very little cheese filling mainly just pastry. So I would say this choice was not value for money at all Im sad to say. If I had had the two courses for £14.95 I would have been more understanding of the small pie meal.

Originally booked for outside but given a table inside. It was a lovely day so either would have been great. Atmosphere and food were amazing. Well presented, delicious served by helpful friendly staff.

Great meal, although I was a little disappointed at 1st when I saw the menu had reduced but I think it has been a wise decision as all the food was super! Broccoli could have been cooked a little longer, highly recommend the mushroom Arancini balls were delicious! Service was super very attentive, thank you Lauryn.

Disappointed as the Fish and chips is now only available on the lunch time menu and the fish is not up to usual standard and a smaller portion. Peas also disappointing. Service great as always

Great food both from the A La Carte and lunch menu and good service too. The new prawn salad is gorgeous and I will definitely be having it again. Lovely sun terrace for drinks so all was good 😊

We usually love the food here however we went for a Sunday roast to be told they’d run out of carrots and roast potatoes. We could have Mash and some beans instead. Reluctantly we agreed as our second choice, fish and chips wasn’t available. With only 1 veg, the said beans, beef and mash. A shadow of a roast dinner. My meal looked not good. I asked for a Yorkshire Pudding which they then brought me. We were still charged for a roast dinner which I think was poor. Staff were fine.

Very disappointed on this occasion . Breakfast was not upto the required standard . Team dealt with issues but would rather have not had to make an issue as was treating dad 😥

We have eaten at Albert's in Didsbury and Standish many times..it's one of our favourite places to eat. Well, it was. This was awful from start to finish. The service was very ordinary. We sat outside and the experience was more.like being in a whacky warehouse than a restaurant.. I'm all up for family dining, but this was something else. When the starters eventually came they were very ordinary. I mean how can you mess up a prawn cocktail? Anyway, having had enough of someone else's kids throwing toys at us, we asked if we could move inside. There were no tables in the restaurant (which is fair enough it was Sunday and it was busy) so we sat in the bar area.... And we sat... And sat... An hour later, and having asked where our food was there times half the mains turned up. No potatoes, none of the sides we had ordered. We eventually got those half an hour into our mains.. and they were terrible too! And then, there was the truffle cauliflower cheese normally.. One of my favourites... Only I normally like mine cooked.. and with truffle ... and cauliflower ...oh, and cheese..! They comped us the sides and a drink each. Which was something, I guess. But the excuse was they'd switched to a new menu and they were busy..... I know how menu handovers get managed... That's not an excuse for a professional restaurant! And if you can't handle all those covers, reduce them! It was embarrassing. I couldn't be bothered arguing. We just wanted it to be over. I come from a family that owns restaurants. Dad and brother are both chefs. We can all cook. Even our kids could cook better than this...! I'm not a food snob. I know it can be hard to turn stuff out consistently well, and so I'll give some latitude.. but you almost have to work at being this bad... It was just shocking! I don't know what went wrong.. I guess you can survive being this bad on the East Lancs, but if you turned that rubbish out in Didsbury, you'd be shut in a month. Sort it out...!

The Ellesmere Room located on the first floor, it is named after the cinema that occupied the site many years ago. The Ellesmere is a modern, design led space which can be used for anything from wedding ceremonies to christenings. It can accommodate up to 120 for dining to 200 for parties. It has its own dedicated entrance, private bar and a private heated and covered terrace. All our menus are designed and cooked by the chefs in albert’s, so you can rest assured the food will be as outstanding as our event space. Situated on the ground floor of our main restaurant, The Harold Riley room is perfect for private lunches or dinners or drinks receptions. The private dining room can accommodate up to 40 people and also features its own heated terrace which is the perfect alfresco area in which to enjoy pre-dinner drinks or to let the outside in during the summer months!
