Le restaurant-bar d'Albert est le nouvel acteur très attendu de la scène culinaire de West Didsbury. Ce nouveau restaurant constitue la seconde ouverture d'Albert, petit frère du Albert's Shed à Castlefield, dans le centre-ville de Manchester. Le nouvel espace, qui a été créé sur l'ancien site du pub Barleycorn sur Barlow Moor Road à Didsbury, vise à offrir au sud de Manchester un espace de repas moderne et soigné doté d'une salle à manger pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 160 personnes en intérieur mais aussi 60 personnes sur sa fabuleuse terrasse extérieure idéale pour manger en plein air l'été. Le menu est d'influence moderne britannique et doté d'un mélange éclectique de classiques du monde entier et de spécialités d'Albert. Chaque plat est exclusivement basé sur des ingrédients frais et locaux. Le restaurant est ouvert 7 jours par semaine pour le dîner et le souper, et ce qui constitue une première pour Albert, offre un menu brunch complet les samedi et dimanches.

Our waiter was brilliant and made our visit extra special for our Grandma’s birthday. Also the chef was lovely and took some lovely photos of us. Can’t recommend this place enough thank you for always being the best!

Brilliant food but the service was lacking a little. We had to get a server’s attention to order food and the same when we were ready for the bill. There didnt seem to be waiters/waitresses constantly hovering

Love Alberts. We're regulars but weren't so keen on the new menu as not as much choice to choose from, especially if you want a change from a Roast dinner. The menus provided was a set menu without the option to select from the other menu. We understand this is probably led by cost savings and what may be most popular dishes, but we will be going elsewhere for the foreseeable. Hopefully when the season changes the usual menu creativity and choices will be available again. When we visit Alberts, we want to "enjoy" the 3-courses instead of settling for dishes that are just ok. I had booked a birthday meal for next month but will definitely be cancelling that now and will book somewhere else that does provide a wider variety of choices.

I had the Sunday roast beef it was exceptional! Probably one of the best roasts dinners I’ve ever had!

The food was amazing, I had Sunday lunch and Missus had the Cheese & onion pie with Sunday trimmings ... finishing it off with a great cocktail dessert . Waiter was very efficient and lovely guy 🙏

Training waitress Grace was really attentive and checked on us regularly to ensure we had drinks and to take our orders, well done Grace! Food was good apart from the amount of creamed spinach, literally swimming in it. Shame because once I had separated it the food was the usual high standard, I will remember next time to ask for it in a small ramekin. Overall good though
