The restaurant is definitely a staple on 5th. Alberto, the owner, is there seven days a week, from 4 am to 7 pm and makes sure everything is fresh and homemade before service starts. We saw him there greeting his guests. He was leaving so we did not get to meet him. Our server was lovely albeit a tad fragmented. We got 3 out of 4 delicious meals. The tuna, snapper and ribeye dishes were served perfectly. The fettuccine bolognese was good, the pasta was over boiled and the veal Ragú was a bit runny and oily. We got a bottle of Prosecco, which was delicious, just not as cold as it should have been. We did not convey our disappointment when the server checked on us because we knew it would disrupt our peace and cause delays. All in all very good. Could have been great but a few things were missed. Plus the AC in our corner of the restaurant was very warm and that added to the not quite right experience. Alberto’s is definitely a wise choice when you’re in Naples.

Recommendations include the Insalata de Mare and the prosciutto and melon for an appetizer. The main meals included the Risotto Osso Buco and the Homemade Paparadella with Short Ribs. Both of which we would recommend. Service was great and overall a great meal.

We went for Alberto’s early dining and found the amount of food as well as the quality was simply outstanding. We had one person in our party that requested gluten free pasta and they were easily accommodated. Dante our waiter was great and attentive. The atmosphere was perfect. It’s easily the best Italian restaurant on 5th Avenue in Naples.

We enjoy Alberto’s atmosphere and the food but unfortunately we had a server that was not in the best mood. He was very inattentive and seemed very distant. Everyone is entitled to a bad day but it was especially disappointing as it was a Saturday evening before the restaurant was even crowded.

The food was very good and interesting. It is a bit pricy but for the quality of the food, service and ambiance it is worth it. The service staff were very good.

Claire was an excellent server. She paced the courses of our meal perfectly. Food was fantastic and the presentation on the plate was done very well.
