Al and Alma’s Supper Club was founded in 1956 by Al and Alma Quist. During the day Al was a firefighter and the Mayor of Island Park, at night he cooked the best food on the lake! His idea of creating a dining destination worth making a trip for propelled a lasting history as Lake Minnetonka's longest operating restaurant. Open for dinner only, today's modern restaurant embraces recipes that have spanned three generations. The term "Supper Club" embraces our past but requires no membership! Hand cut steaks, slow cooked BBQ ribs, famous campstyle walleye and homemade desserts accompany modern American fare and delightful nightly specials including fresh ocean fish. Join us out on Phelps Island; you'll be glad you did!

We love Al & Alma ‘s. It’s a welcoming place to go. The food is fantastic and worth the money. Some places have high prices but the food is not worth it. That’s why we always go to Al and Almas. This time I had the salmon Florentine. I usually get it with the shrimp instead of the salmon but it was a nice change last night. Their island salad that you get with your meal is fantastic. Make sure you pick that one if you like blue cheese and olives.

I had one of my favorites, the Pomodoro with the shrimp and it was amazing. We had a great service and it was a perfect night

Good walleye with interesting spin on skinless baked potatoes. Brownie fudge ice cream dessert was excellent but way more than a single serving...must share. Only minor issue to report was the forgotten southwest chicken egg roll appetizer ordered as it sounded great. (But then again, we wouldn't have any room for the fabulous dessert) ;)

it was our first time at Al and Alma's but it definitely won't be our last. It is a beautiful setting and the portions of the food was plentiful. Food was very good.

Al and Alma's reminds one of the supper clubs of former years. A nice welcome, standard supper club food and some surprise offerings. The drinks were good (lemon drop martini and Manhattan). The tuna appetizer on wonton chips was yummy and just different enough from normal fare to make it interesting. We both had steaks that were well prepared, a square of garlic mashed, and a salad. The vegetable du jour was California mix that tasted fresh. Our meal was topped off by restaurant key lime pie which was just the right size to split. Our server was friendly and pleasant. We can't wait to come back.
