Al and Alma’s Supper Club was founded in 1956 by Al and Alma Quist. During the day Al was a firefighter and the Mayor of Island Park, at night he cooked the best food on the lake! His idea of creating a dining destination worth making a trip for propelled a lasting history as Lake Minnetonka's longest operating restaurant. Open for dinner only, today's modern restaurant embraces recipes that have spanned three generations. The term "Supper Club" embraces our past but requires no membership! Hand cut steaks, slow cooked BBQ ribs, famous campstyle walleye and homemade desserts accompany modern American fare and delightful nightly specials including fresh ocean fish. Join us out on Phelps Island; you'll be glad you did!

We had the walleye sandwich. It was delicious. The only thing That was disappointing, was they didn’t have their Spanish red wine blend that I always get. I hope they get it in soon.

Friday evening four of us went to dinner at Al & Almas‘s. Three of the four of us ordered the dinner special which was Bay scallops over risotto with a mushroom cream sauce. It was divine !!. Hope that goes on the menu. 👍👍👍

Great service as always. My chicken wellingg gg Ron was outstanding. But two in our party had steak. One was over cooked and the other somehow tasted a fishy flavor with hers. Odd, but others tasted and agreed. Bread, dessert, salmon was all great.

Always such a great experience at Al & Alma’s. Everyone is so friendly, the food is always delicious and consistent, and their food offering’s can serve any plallette. Love the nautical theme carried throughout every detail, inclusive of the bread basket.

Saw the good reviews but the dinner exceeded them. Nice drive out to Mound, and the food was high quality and delicious. Small twists on supper club classics contributed to the delight of the meal. Would certainly return.

Our server Lydia was wonderful and very accommodating. Our water glasses were always full and food came out in a measured timely manner. Wine recommendation was spot on and very reasonable. The ambiance was relaxing and pretty . A very good dinner for all 6 of us

Our first time there and we loved it! Food and service were excellent! Nice atmosphere with lake view and a fireplace, ample parking, timely seating and service. (I was surprised we could get last-minute reservations on Valentines Day!) Prices range widely, but enough variety there is something for everyone. We especially liked seeing the nightly specials... We'll be back!

I love our Sl & Almas. I’ve been going there since I was a child. I went there tonight on a date. I really wanted to order them Pomodoro. I decided to do chefs choice. It was a seafood Paella. I was a little disappointed. It tasted good but I thought there’d be more seafood for the price that it was. Next time I’ll get what I Normally get.

Spending New Year’s Eve at Al & Almas’s with our dear friends is our new tradition. The food was delicious; they had a special New Year's Eve menu. Our fillets were done to perfection, and the music was so delightful. can’t say enough good things about them highly recommend Al & Alma’s for an incredible meal, and a fun night out .

You cannot find another restaurant with better food than this! Always a pleasure dining here! The prime rib is fantastic as well as their walleye! It’s well worth the drive!

Loved our evening at Al & Alma’s. We went for a double date and I had hoped it would be a little bit quieter. Highly recommend requesting a window table when making reservations - now we’ll know for next time. Otherwise the food was excellent and a good price for the amount we got considering it was “fancier”. Something on the menu for everyone.

Very good wait staff, decorated very nice for holidays, good menu options. Scallops came out under cooked but staff was on top of helping to correct.

Al & Alma’s is our go-to restaurant for special occasions. The roads on Saturday evening were icy so that could account for some open tables, because this place is a GEM! Soft Christmas music being played, excellent attentive and friendly servers & delicious food. Ahi Tuna Crisps appetizer-awesome, Spicy Italian Sausage Rigatoni-GREAT, and Camp style Walleye always a favorite. Love this place!!

Dinner at Al and Alma's did not disappoint. Went for a spontaneous Friday night dinner date. Food and service was great.

I had the Pomodoro with shrimp. It was delicious. Great service also. Loved our waitress (there’s one I don’t like there) this gal was attentive and gave great advice on food.
