We have dined at ABA for several years prior to either Carnegie Hall or Lincoln Center performances. They serve groups of 6 to 8 quickly and friendly. They will write SEPARATE checks for diners on request, almost unheard of in Manhattan’s Midtown area! The restaurant offers a $35 priz doze with appetizer, entree, dessert and Turkish coffee before 7 pm on weekdays. I had the Adonis Kabab, lamb sausage with salad and rice. Appetizer was lentil soup and dessert was pistachio baklava (small up charges for the soup and the baklava). Restaurant was generous with bread for the table and kept refilling it without asking, also a rarity. Others of my friends had their outstanding shepherd’s salad as an appetizer. The menu is very broad and service is fast and friendly.

We had a very good meal. Enjoyed the grilled lamb chops and a large mezze platter. Had butternut squash dessert. All well prepared and served. Well paced meal.

The food was amazing! I was born and raised in Turkey so I know how the real deal tastes and this is the real deal. I wish I lived in NYC so I would visit this restaurant very frequently. We got Iskender kebap and Adana kebap. Both were very authentic and delicious. The portions were quite large that I couldn’t finish mine. Turkish tea was brewed to perfection. The service is very quick and professional. The only room for improvement is the ambiance. The place needs some updates/fixes.

Very welcoming staff and excellent service. Noise level quite high. Place needs some renovation. Very worn look to walls, ceiling and lighting. Lamb shiskabob was tasty but the meat was overly tenderized so that the texture was gone for my taste. Excellent rice and cabbage. Good Turkish red table wine. Reasonable prices.

Convenient reasonably priced casual restaurant for dinner before a concert at Carnegie Hall. Excellent service. Generous portions. The best food we had were the stuffed grape leaves and the rice pudding. Our main courses were the lamb adana kebob (a little spicy) and the chicken chops.
