A La Turka est un restaurant de l'Upper East Side ayant ouvert ses portes il y a 20 ans. Vous pourrez profiter d'une excellente cuisine et d'une ambiance animée et festive. Le restaurant a été présenté sur Channel 4, montrant comment faire griller les brochettes sur le toit du Rockefeller Center, ainsi que la façon de faire du poisson salé cuit au four. Il a également été diffusé au Fox5 où Dave Price a présenté son buffet de brochettes du samedi soir, des danseuses du ventre ainsi que de la musique live. A La Turka vous propose une sélection de 20 différentes brochettes; tout comme une usine de kebab, comprenant le poulet, l'agneau et le boeuf, et également quelques poissons provenant de la Méditerranée, comme le branzini. L'ambiance de l'endroit est chaleureuse afin que vous puissiez profiter d'un repas authentique et remarquable à Bosphore, à Istanbul.     Had lunch. Sat indoors at window table, perfect to enjoy street view but be a few feet above it. Had Muhammara which was spicy, delicious and Chicken Shish Kabob, also excellent with chicken perfectly done. The Turkish bread is soft and delicious. Nice Pinot Gris was a good complement. Great service, though they made a mistake on the bill, which was immediately corrected once we pointed it out.

    Great food! We had turkish pizza, shish kabab and grape leaves, everything was delicious. We will come back.

    very good food in a warm friendly atmosphere. With the large open windows you can eat indoors and feel like you are eating outside

    Wow! We had been home from our Istanbul vacation a mere ten days before our longing for Turkish food led us to A La Turka. A review of their menu indicated that they had most of the delicacies we were missing, so we decided to give it a try. I feel guilty saying this, but it was the best Turkish food we have had. We ate at some exceptional places in Istanbul. some of them with high TripAdvisor ratings and even one with a New York Times write up (Ocak, Matbah, Şhahade Çag). I guess it just comes down to ingredients and the skill of the kitchen staff, rather than location, because this was the most flavorful and satisfying of all our meals. I also appreciated the very efficient and friendly staff. It was pleasing to find that those we encountered, were actually Turkish! Our waitress got a kick out of my rudimentary Turkish and my acquired appreciation for Raki (a Turkish brandy). Onto the food. We ordered things we really enjoyed in Istanbul. Muhammara is a thick red pepper dip that is just delicious on bread. A La Turka's was fantastic. A hugely popular dish in Türkiye is manti, which is often referred to as 'ravioli'. It is stuffed with lamb meat and much much smaller than ravioli. It is also served with a tomato and yogurt sauce. It is so tasty that my wife and I tried several places in Istanbul hoping to find the best one. In Istanbul it was Dostan Cafe Ve Manti. But now, overall, A La Turka is the winner. Then we ordered an assortment of kabobs and meats. There were three of us so we shared the Lamb Village Kabob and the Mixed Grill. Perfect. One of the tests of a great kitchen is if they can prepare white meat chicken without drying it out. A La Turka hit the mark of an excellent kitchen. This is a restaurant we will be returning to.

    Had Dinner for 4 on Saturday night at indoor table. Service was attentive and efficient and food was very good (my party included one Eastern European).

    This is our regular go to restaurant; we went last night to celebrate my birthday. Good wine, excellent Shepherd salad and my friend really enjoyed his lamb. I started to order the vegetable kebab, which was the only vegan option on the entrées, but our waiter suggested I order some thing else instead.  Not many other options for a vegan at this time because the menu has changed so I had falafels.  They were actually delicious, but the restaurant has to come up with other vegan entrée options!

    Delicious food generous portions. Service is excellent. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Our server, after taking our drink orders, returned to our table to ask one of us if she preferred a lemon or orange peel in her drink. A surprising- but classy - thing to do. Very nice ambiance, and we were treated to a belly dance performance— something we did not expect.
