An awesome experience from start to finish! I took my pescetarian fiancé to 801 Fish for his birthday dinner, and we were both impressed with everything we ordered. The craft cocktails were outstanding, and the shrimp cocktail and crab cake appetizers were even better than we expected. For our main entrees, the lobster risotto and linguini with clams didn't disappoint. While the environment was busy, the ambiance was perfect for a date night, with nice lighting and decor, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and fabulous choices on the menu. We hope to return soon!

Friday night my husband and I came in for an early Mother’s Day dinner. Our food was excellent. However, I have to say something about our server. We were welcomed warmly and seated promptly. Our glasses were filled with the water of our choice and then nothing. We sat and sat. Finally I told another server that I didn’t think we had a server for our table. She apologized and said she would help us right away. Lo and behold our server finally showed up. I wish he hadn’t. Granted the restaurant was nice enough to offer us a shrimp cocktail for the inconvenience. Example of the things he did or didn’t do…. He would get me an ice tea but carry it on his tray around the restaurant while helping other tables instead of bringing it to me, saying he would clear dishes but would leave them in front of us long after we ate that course. He even didn’t get my order quite right either. But you know he did get better near dessert and tip time. You would think if we are spending so much money service should be better then what we received. I’m disappointed. I don’t know if he’s not used to fine dining or was new or what his excuse is.

It is always a pleasure to go to this restaurant when I’m in town. The happy hour is unbeatable. The latest iteration of the fish tacos are probably the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. I can’t wait to go back this evening!

Hello Not satisfied with food quality or food temperature. Ordered the lobster fried rice it was warm food temperature not hot & Brizino fish. Food was not great at all.

Great time out with the wife for date night. Great service by Robin. Food was amazing as always. Heard there was a new head chef. Hope quality doesn’t suffer. So far so good.

This was probably the worst dining experience we have ever had and it ruined what should have been a glorious occasion. My wife and I went to 801 Fish to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. Reservations were for 7:00pm on Sunday, April 28th. There were only two other tables in the restaurant with diners. We ordered a bottle of white wine, which was lukewarm when served. Our server never returned to refill wine glasses. He did, however, return to take our order after 20 minutes. Over an hour later, we were finally served our entrees. However, the sea bass my wife ordered was literally cold. Mind you, there were only 2 other tables being served. I could see people in the cooking area. How could it take that long to prepare a meal and have it come out cold? I asked for a manager, who came over to apologize for the lousy service and cold food, declined to charge us for the starter or wine and offered another meal at another time. We will accept the manager's offer for another meal and will review it in detail.

The service was a bit slow at first, but once they got us going, everything flowed well from there. Shout out to the hostess that jumped in a got us drinks and appetizers. The food was amazing and the drinks were done well.

The salmon was excellent. Probably the best we’ve had. Branzino was quite good. Very light for being fried. And the crème brûlée was outstanding

Perfect place for fresh seafood and great seasonings. Waitress has the best attitude and personality for our night. She was very educated about the menu and had fantastic recommendations. Couldn’t ask for a better crowd of customers.

Excellent meal for our wedding anniversary. We had a server in training team, and the trainee did a fantastic job. Both were really focused on us having a good experience. The food was stellar! Really, really good and well executed. We though the kumquat in the Crab salad was overwhelming but everything else (mussels, branzino, lobster risotto) were perfect!

Not sure what was better the food or the amazing service provided by ROBYN. The food was so good it’s and portions where very generous And thank you to the most personal server in town. Robyn, You rocked it!!

Three out of four of us had problems with the food. -sent salmon back two times. Ordered well done and it came out raw in the middle two times. Finally the chef came over. I ordered the lobster risotto. The lobster was tough and overcooked and my husband tried it and informed the waiter. I had my fork over the plate and he took it away. My husband ordered the linguini with clams and the clams were over cooked. Both of us only ate half of our meal. Our friend with the uncooked salmon literally had to get up from the table and call over to anyone who worked here because no one came back to see how the food was. To spend this kind of money on a meal with not good service, the least you could have done was offered to comp the uncooked salmon. The inconveniences for the level if your restaurant is inexcusable.

We sat in our own private room, only 5 tables in there and we had all to ourselves. Amazing wine list. The octopus app was spiced perfectly, took me back to a meal we had walking the Camino in Spain. We had halibut and sea bass both can GF. So many dessert options, but I had bartender create an after dinner drink. Lovely evening

Absolutely amazing dining experience. From start to finish it was perfectly enjoyable. The scallop entree is out of this world. My husband had the branzino and it was so delicate and perfectly seasoned and just beautifully presented. Thank you for an amazing experience and we will definitely be back every time we come to St.Louis!

Didn't have my first pick for wine, didn't have second pick either. Suggested a 3rd similar one, which was fine. But wine spectator award before? Sea bass not the best I've ever had but not the worst. Smashed potatoes served cold. They replaced them free of charge. They were delicious second try (hot)

Service was excellent. Our waitress was so sweet and offered her recommendations which were delicious. Beautiful restaurant, nice relaxing vibe. My husband enjoyed the fresh oysters. You don’t really go to a seafood restaurant and order steak, but I did as I’ve had the neighboring 801 chophouse filet which was incredible! It was slightly more cooked than the medium rare I ordered, but it was still tasty and not enough of a complaint to send it back to the kitchen. We will definitely be back.

Your food quality has really gone down in our last 2 visits. The Branzino should be taken off your menu. I had the Halibut on the visit before last night and Swordfish last night. Neither were mind blowing. My wife and a friend had the branzino. Full of bones make for a bad experience

Went on a Thursday evening. It wasn't crowded but they seemed very disjointed. Had trouble figuring out where to seat us. Took a while for the waitress to come over. Drinks took much longer than they should have. Food was average. Server seemed distracted and took a long time to bring butter over after we requested. In general, not a great attitude, like we were bothering her. Finally had to flag someone down to get our bill. Was way too pricey for what we got. We won't go back.

Took my grandkids to fancy Friday dinner. Alaskan crab was the perfect meal for growing boys. They loved it. Service is always the best. Little pricey but worth it for a special dinner out. Homemade ice cream always for dessert.
