We went there for our 15th wedding anniversary. Everything was great. The waiter was excellent, and the food was wonderful. They even comped our dessert as an anniversary gift! Very nice...

I had such a great experience for my anniversary here. Our waiter was perfect and so helpful. The meal was the best I’ve had probably ever. I highly recommend!

This wasn’t my first time being to 801… this time I was a little disappointment in my steak and my Brussels sprouts. Each of them had been burnt in areas so when eating it, that burned/charred taste would linger longer and stronger than the taste of the food. All the rest of my meal was exceptional. But when ordering a medium steak nothing on the outside should be charred to the point you can taste it.

Overall the experience is as expected for a high priced steakhouse. Weirdly, there is no cell phone reception in the restaurant. Also, their WiFi is non existent. Really should be something that is fixed. It’s a real issue if you need to stay in touch with a childcare provider or with work.

This was my second time eating at 801 and my wife's first time. We were celebrating my birthday. Service, food, and atmosphere were excellent as always. Dessert was delicious as well.

Sat on patio on lovely evening starting at 6:30pm; fine salads, wine list and beautiful entrees. Entertained octogenarian friends and they could hear perfectly. Highly recommend,

I had a delightful birthday dinner here. My salmon tasted wonderful and I enjoyed the Brussel sprout Potato Mash accompaniment. I really liked the presentation of the carrot cake dessert with Happy Birthday written in chocolate on the plate along with a single lit candle. Very tastefully done. Our waiter, John, provided great service, regularly refilled our wine glasses, and graciously responded to our questions and requests. I will return.

OUR waiter and the Maitre 'D offered perfect service, were attentive to concerns and needs, knowledgable and energetic! RESERVATION was for 6:30 (Saturday). Conversation was easy in the elegant room until it began to fill around 7:00, when it was nearly impossible to hear. THISwas one of THE most expensive meals of our long lives. So, given the cost, one expects exceptional, truly world class fare in addition to excellent service: BAR service was spot on with prices in line with the meal. RAW Oysters were exquisite, fresh, plump with a balance of sea brine and sweetness that was memorable. They ought to be at $7 a pop! 10/10. SOURDOUGH bread was hot and crusty with good butter on the side. Oversimple presentation on a side plate, however. This meal rates a napkin lined bread basket with two or three varieties of bread. 8/10. DRY Aged, Bone In Strip Steak was hearty, flavorful, perfectly cooked, but a bit on the tough side. Presentation was again, oversimple. Just the steak on a plain white plate. 9/10. BEARNAISE sauce was just right, but serving size could be larger. 9/10. WET Aged Strip Steak was absolute heaven, luscious flavorful, juicy and perfect in MORELS were a treat, if a bit over-seasoned, masking the prized flavor. Serving was small given its staggering $40!!! Should have asked first! Delicious but NOT worth the cost. 7/10. CREAMED spinach gratin was watery on the bottom, breadcrumbs too thick and WAY too salty. The staff spontaneously took it off the bill! Service 10 out of 10, spinach 3/10. BLUE Cheese Potatoes, generous portion, delicious, ripping hot, but again, WAY too salty. 8/10. CARROT Cake – a big 2-layer slice with white choc. cream cheese icing, the good stuff. Filling was unusual (think of german chocolate cake frosting) but made it overly sweet. 8/10. ICE Cream Sandwich: 2 choc chip cookies and scoop of ice cream. 9/10. VALET Parking came to $17.50! They didn't say there was validated parking down the block!!!! 2/10
