Came here for brunch with my family and I can say honestly it was not what we expected it to be. This seems to be a Nashville or city thing but portion sizes and sometimes the quality of the food NEVER and I mean never match the prices you pay for the food including the drink sizes as well. The server however was nice and provided excellent service. Please take this review as a way to improve food portions and food quality. Thanks!

Incredible experience at the 404 Kitchen as always! The food was incredible! Easily the best banana pudding I've ever had! The scallop toast is pure Heaven! I think I may be forming an addiction. The service was out of this world! I went for a special occasion and the hostess, Jordan, and my server David went above and beyond to make the day purely magical! Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Nashville! Chef Matt Bolus can do no wrong! Run, don't walk, to the 404 Kitchen!

Wow! What a superb dinner. We shared the catfish bites, tender, crunchy, delicious. We also shared the burrata 'salad.' The sphere of cheese is surrounded with diced beets, fennel and walnuts - really tasty. I had the duck, which was meltingly tender, perfectly set off by plum sauce. My companion had trout, perfectly cooked. Gotta say, the catfish was the best thing I ate, which is saying a lot.

Bourbon cake was excellent. Duck was uninspired, no sauce and stuffing was a mis match. Caesar salad called for smoked trout and found none in the salad. Pork chop and sauce were tasty but pork chop was tough as leather. Could have used a brining or other type of tenderizing. Oysters were excellent but not a good value for the price.

Service was just mediocre, the food was hot but took awhile to come out. It felt like the menu was taking classic dishes and putting an elevated twist that just not working.

It was Saturday night and the restaurant was crowded. The tables are close together and there were several loud parties nearby. It was impossible to carry on a normal conversation. We actually had to move our table and chairs to get out to go to the rest room. The food was good but the total experience was not worth $500 for a party of four.

Everything was good. Service was great. Only complaint was that our steaks were ordered medium rare and were delivered medium-well/well, although we decided not to send it back and to just eat it.

Had a fantastic business dinner. Rachel did an outstanding job of knowing when we were ready to order and anticipated the needs of the table. She also did a great job making sure what I ordered was gluten free. The wine, drinks, food and service were spot on! Bravo to the 404 staff and chef!

Best meal we had in five nights in Nashville and we have eaten well! Loved the blend of Southern and French methods and foods. The flavor profiles were spot on, this chef knows how to make a sauce and is super creative with his food in a really tasty way. The Cesar salad with smoked trout instead of anchovies was genius. The wines by the glass paired nicely with the food. And our server Ashleigh could not have been more perfect. A very enjoyable meal!

Eating on the deck was wonderful and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall the food was good especially the catfish and cornbread.

There was very little “brunch” and no breakfast meat. I would classify it as lunch with eggs. Website stated there would be bottomless mimosas and Bloody Mary bar and neither was available. I would give it an ok, but not excited about going back.

Food was wonderful, ambience. Amazing. Our server was not great. When she came to the table, she wasn’t very friendly and she didn’t explain anything that was going on as far as the special Easter, brunch buffet Also, when she brought the final bill, we paid cash and when she returned to the table with our change, she actually shorted us by $4 or $5 dollars with our change. Not sure if maybe she was just having a bad day or was unhappy that she was working on Easter. However, other times that we’ve dined this establishment service has been wonderful, so this will not deter us from returning, we love this place!

The outdoor seating was nice for the weather, there was no table cloths on the tables closest to the rails, the Easter brunch menu was what attached me to dine there- the food was good but give the price of brunch it wasn’t fantastic- service was good the live music from the street was nice

This was a buffet on Easter, so your normal dining is not being commented on. The food was bland, meh, average at best. For the amount of money we paid $80 a piece with tip you would expect more than eggs, meat( salmon, broasted chicken, beef) and some veggies, pasta and mashed potatoes. Cornbread was burnt and very dry. Also you would think the sodas would be included in the cost of the buffet and you wouldn’t have to pay for refills. Again $160 for two people for this selection was not worth it.

Beautiful restaurant, great vibe, excellent service and absolutely delicious food. In my almost two years in Nashville, many popular and well rated places have not lived up to their expectations at all and have been a long list of disappointments. Not 404 Kitchen -- it did not disappointment and I'll definitely look forward to returning soon.

The appetizers were excellent. the pork chop entree was dry and unseasoned. not sure if this was a mistake but should have been caught at the pass if it was. the baked potato side was amateurishly over salted.

Best whole smoked fried chicken in the world! I will come to Nashville just to eat that again! Nice random find! Accommodated a large party on short notice! Would totally recommend!

Food was very hit or miss. Gnudi was delicious but an extremely small portion. Salad and beef tartare were very very bland and were disappointing.

Good was tasty. The menu was a little pricey for the entrees. Appetizers were really a meal and quite good. Waiter was helpful, patient and knowledgeable. A unique restaurant for something different.
