The menu changes daily. What was caught or harvested yesterday is whats on the menu today. 32 tap beers, over 80 whiskeys and scotches, complete wine list and cocktail menu. Something for everyone.
The 40 steak and seafood has 5 unique dining rooms, all named after different characteristics or industries that make North Dakota a great State. Each room has its own theme with different furniture, fireplaces, ceiling, flooring and artwork giving each room its own unique and different feel.

Real neat place. Service wasn’t what would have been expected. Waitress didn’t care to check on us much at all. No recommendations made, no interaction really at all. We were greeted at the front but then the phone rang and we were then ignored and waited for someone else to help seat us.

We sat in the bar…..noisy but to be expected as we were very close to the entrance. Service was great, considering the restaurant was very busy.

My first experience at 40 Steak + Seafood. Everything was amazing, the wait staff was very accommodating and polite. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed dinner. The only complaint was the very long wait for each step of our meal. Drinks, appetizers, main course and dessert all too a while to be served, albeit it was Valentine’s Day and the restaurant was very busy so we had no problem waiting as the staff was very busy and still was able to provide an excellent experience. The food was delicious from the first bite to the last! Cooked and seasoned to perfection, my fiancé and I both thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience.

Worst experience I’ve ever had at restaurant especially with this high of caliber restaurant, where it all starts me and my girlfriend had a reservation at 7 o’clock. A few of the waitresses were just talking in a circle and told us someone will be there in a minute not willing to help. Took us about five minutes to get seated then did not see anybody for a minimum of 20 to 25 minutes, then the waitress that wasn’t even supposed to be helping us was just rude and arrogant. Took another 10 minutes just to get our drinks as well as bread the lettuce was dry and tasteless then told me after I finish my raspberry lemonade that there was no free refills in a rude attitude again. So I asked for water waited another 1015 minutes just to get my water. The burgers were decent. I had ordered the mac & cheese and found plastic in. It told the waitress and she said it could be bone when clearly it was plastic and shiny instead of comping, the meal only took off the five dollar mac & cheese. Just a horrible overall experience will never come back and will recommend no one to come to that restaurant.

I have eaten here several times and have always been extremely satisfied. Chef Allen came to my table to recommend how the cook the two Tomahawk ribeye's I took to go for my Christmas dinner. Whenever I am in Bismark I always make it a point to come here for supper. The first time my wife and I ate here we ordered the dry aged Tomahawk steaks, and the Chef invited us to see the cooler they use for dry aging an explained the process to us, very impressive. These are the best steaks you will ever eat, worth every penny. The staff was very attentive and well trained.

Very nice, upscale restaurant! Great place to celebrate our anniversary. The steaks were perfect, sides were very generous, and the cheesecake was rich and delicious! The service was excellent, turned out our waitress was a friend I had known for years, never knew she worked there. Only complaint was the restrooms are very subpar compared to the rest of the facility. Needs a full update and better maintenance.

Excellent and prompt service, attentive waitress. Lamb lollipops were tasty and salads were good. Excellent wine value. King ribeye was prepared properly but unfortunately was tough and bland. Overall a very enjoyable outing. Will try a different cut at the next visit.

Great steak cooked to perfection. Portions are healthy and will satisfy the most hungry, steak-loving person. Sides well paired. Only one slight suggestion/critique, A more detailed cocktail and wine menu would add to the experience.

Food was great. It is expensive but you expect that going in. Our server was newer and could have checked in on us a little more. The main issue we had was the food took a long time to get to us. We spent well over an hour here and ordered an appetizer and main course.

We were a Family party of five and we had our private room which was perfect for our younger toddlers. The steaks and sides were excellent!! Our service was Fantastic!! We will come back often!!!

We went for my father-in-law‘s 80th birthday. We had the tomahawk steaks they were excellent our service was excellent . Great place to go highly recommend it.

the service was so bad that after one hour wait we left only served one salad 45 minutes into the meal. Manager was not helpful at all, made excuses and said he hoped to see us back. I would not go back to the restaurant for any reason, not because of the service but the nonchalant attitude of the manager.
