Welcome to the 1920 Tavern. A speak-easy style restaurant and pub in downtown Roswell that features a globally-inspired cuisine. The quaint, casual restaurant in Roswell, GA offers a sophisticated mix of cocktails and spirits along with their impressive dishes great for brunch, lunch, and dinner. 1920 Tavern’s refined but approachable cuisine showcases an array of fresh greens, savory starters, market-fresh seafood, and enchanting entrees.

Inspired by the sophistication and the playfulness of the “speakeasy” style, 1920 Tavern’s walls are lined with antique mirrors, crystal accents and globe lighting that provides a natural ambiance which makes it one of the best pubs in Roswell. Dark brown wood and leather banquettes with a contrast of diamond-shaped white tiles beneath the beautifully suspended light pendants that hang over the bar and dining area. The newly constructed bar offers a comfortable space to watch the bartenders create your favorite beverages.

Overall we loved 1920. The food was amazing and the menu was extensive. I very much enjoyed my cocktail. It was however, incredibly hot inside which did put a slight damper on the meal. Also, the fact that they charge you an additional fee for your drink being on "a rock" seems a little absurd. Especially when it was not indicated by the server.

Hi, Thank you so much for your 4 star review. We apologize that the AC was not keeping up last night, we try very hard to keep this very old building cool in the summer, but sometimes when we are extremely busy it just can’t keep up. With regards to the $2 big rock charge, we do that because we pour and extra ounce of liquor in the drink to cover the big rock, so you are not paying extra for the actual ice but rather for the extra amount of liquor you are receiving. We sat outside and it was very nice. The service was fast. I made reservations and we did have to wait a little bit for a table but it wasn’t bad at all.

Food was just OK. I had Parmesan crusted Grouper and it was dry and overcooked. Place is very small and narrow and very loud. Adding to that was music blasting through speakers in ceiling and we were sitting right next to kitchen. Kind of hard to carry on a conversation with all that noise. Service was very good!

Enjoyed our first visit. Sat at a table in the bar area near the kitchen. Excellent service! Met the owner and her husband that actively work the room. Oysters Rockefeller and Lamb Chops were great! We will be back!

We had an exceptional lunch at The 1920 Tavern. The food was delicious, the service was professional, and the ambiance was perfect for our wedding anniversary! Well done! Highly recommended! We’ll be back!

Always enjoy our food at 1920! Shrimp Tacos are amazing! Our server, Ayal was incredible. Professional, attentive and knowledgeable. Love this place!
